A Baby Card

Good morning and it's the start of a new week, one that I hope will be peaceful for all of us. This is a baby card for a friend who had a stillborn baby a decade ago, so it's a very bittersweet card. I used colors that she wanted for this card and I can only hope that it eases her thoughts today just a little bit. The Bible says that we'll recognize each other in heaven. I recall reading that we won't know our relationship to each other since all things are made new, but the beauty of losing a loved one is that I know I'll be able to see them again if they know Jesus and are born again. There's an age of accountability with children, and there's different schools of thought with this and it's something that I need to read up on, but I know for a fact with children and adults who are mentally challenged and babies, they're in heaven. In God's mercy and grace, he brings them home. God does not and will not expect us to make a decision to believe in his Son if we are incapable of making that choice, and this strictly applies to those under the age of accountability or those who are mentally challenged. For the rest of us, we have that choice.

For those of you who have lost children before and have made a decision to believe in Jesus and his death on the cross for us to absolve us of our sin, be assured, confident, and joyful in the absolute promise that you will see your baby again. Hope is not lost – it is restored, so let the Lord relieve you of that weight and pain today knowing this. Today's Treasure: Revelation 21:4-5.
