Double Pocket Card

I have never made one of these before, but Beate's Double Pocket Card tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers made it a lot easier than anticipated, although it took me all morning long as I was very slow on this! I pretty much CASEd her colors and some elements but also changed a few things as well. When I learn something new, it's easier for me to use the same materials that the author is using the first time around because I'm already confused enough to begin with and don't want to add to that! Making a double pocket card is also today's Fun on Friday challenge at Christian Paper Crafts. I did have fun with this but it was a lot of work and well worth it in the end. I love how my butterfly turned out. You will have to watch the tutorial and then it will make much more sense as to how I made my card.

With my butterflies, I sponged the edges in Soft Suede. For the smaller butterfly, I still sponged the edges but used Heat and Stick powder and then a layer of Iridescent Ice over that and placed pearls down the middle. I'm going to show you the pictures first and then the supply list will be at the end of this post. It's a rather extensive one. Instead of writing everything down, I either memorize it depending on the card or just leave the stuff all over my craft space so that I don't miss anything. In this case, my space is a disaster and it's all over the place!

Let's see what you can do with this challenge. When uploading to our gallery, please use keyword FOF36 and when uploading to your blog or other online galleries, please use keyword CPC-FOF36. God bless you and have a great weekend!

  1. I just watched the tutorial!  Wow, that's cool, I'm definitely going to try that and boy is my list getting long for my "to do's " this weekend.  I guess I should say my "want to do list" Blessings!
