Vintage Thank You
I made this card for my mother-in-law, who is always so generous with us at Christmas. She's just a lovely lady and I am very blessed to have a mother-in-law like Mary Lou. She really defines the epitome of a lady and we all love her very much.
I used the MOJO118 challenge as my sketch and participated in Splitcoast Stampers Ways to Use It challenge in which my background qualifies for. We were supposed to use a background stamp, but I used a wheel instead. I will go ahead and describe this to you rather than just leave a list of ingredients. It was very easy to make and you can follow along if you wish to CASE this card. There are so many possibilities! I used all Stampin' Up! products today.
I started with a textured Pink Pirouette A2 base. I then cut piece of white paper at 4 x 5-1/4 and used the Vintage jumbo wheel with Pretty in Pink ink at the top and bottom of my paper. I measured how much space was between the two wheel lines, which in my case it was 2 x 4. I then cut a piece of textured 2 x 4 Pink Pirouette paper and a piece of white paper measuring 1/8" smaller. I chose to use the Vintage Vogue stamp set for this card. I stamped my image in Pretty in Pink on the left of the card and my sentiment in Basic Black under my image. I then used another piece of white paper to stamp my flower in Pink Pirouette and stamped it again in Pink Pirouette using the rock 'n roll technique with Pretty in Pink. I cut the second flower out and used a dauber to sponge on some Frost White for sparkle. I then used a flower Fleurette that I had to cut the Rose Red outside layer off of and adhered that to the middle of the flower placing a pink rhinestone brad in the middle. I punched out the first flower with a 1-1/2" punch and adhered the second flower with Dimensionals. I then punched out a scallop circle in textured Pink Pirouette and adhered my decorated flower with Dimensionals. I then used the new satin Pretty in Pink 5/8" ribbon on the right side of the card and clipped the ribbon at the bottom in a 'V.' I adhered my flower to the scallop circle and used Dimensionals to adhere it all to the ribbon. I also distressed the edges of the sentiment/image panel as well. I think it's a lovely and very feminine card. What do you think? Please let me know and thank you for stopping by today.
My family wishes you and your family a very blessed and Merry Christmas and a very prosperous New Year. Thank you for following my blog. I am always honored by your kind comments and presence.
