Up, Up & Away With Christian Paper Crafts
Good morning friends. I love Kentucky weather. It’s November and it’s 75 degrees out. That rocks. I had my sunroof open yesterday. It was awesome.
Beate Johns has a Weekend Sketch Challenge at her blog that I’ve seen and known about, but just never played in. She’s the Creative Director for Splitcoast Stampers and her blog, Fresh & Fun, is definitely fresh and fun. I decided to play along last night and inked up some new Verve Stamps that I got a few weeks ago. This is cute set is called Up, Up & Away. I had to go to Hobby Lobby yesterday as Scott needed stuff to make an atom with and I wanted to pick up a few things for his special friend’s birthday party last night. My blog graphics are Zoe Pearn who does design work for Sweet Shoppe Designs so imagine my absolute “so cool” moment when I’m cruising the paper aisle and found some My Mind’s Eye “Where The Heart Is” paper that closely resembles their Bloom & Grow line that matches my blog exactly! Of course I had to pick it up and did it without a 40% off coupon so I do feel a bit guilty. I love My Mind’s Eye paper.
Mary also has some great challenges going on for us today at Christian Paper Crafts of our Case Artist Saturday and Scripture Saturday. Don’t forget to check out His Princess Scrapbook Kits that Mary has put together using another one of my favorite lines of paper, Cosmo Cricket.
Next Friday, Christian Paper Crafts will be revealing our November sponsor and our first blog hop! Check back here on Friday morning for the details or at Christian Paper Crafts. And you also probably just want to run on over to our home page later today to give me time to put up who our November Guest Design Team Member is. She’s awesome, the Queen of Clean and Simple cards, and we all know and love her. I’m so fortunate to have her with us this month.
With a new challenge, new stamps and new paper, I had to make something and here’s the outcome. It didn’t take too long to make and I actually sewed on it. I’m starting to do that more. I love the colors and paper pieced the balloon. What do you think? Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend. I pray that the Lord touches your heart this weekend. It’s been a tough week in many ways for me with my pastor’s wife in New York who was called home to be with the Lord, a fellow stamper’s 3-year-old son passing away unexpectedly from a virus that apparently attacked his heart, and just other things. I was ready for the week to be over with so that nothing else could happen. Please keep these families in your prayers. I am glad that Rosemary is not suffering anymore, that’s for sure; but with little Henry’s death, I just can’t imagine that and don’t even want to go there. Please just pray for peace for them. I leave you with the filling of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, Acts 2:17-21.
