I have some exciting Stampin' Up! news to share with you of a new promotion of Bonus Days. This will help you purchase the beautiful new Thoughtful Branches and coordinating Thinlits that will be sold as a bundle or separately starting on August 2-31.

Thoughtful-Branches

This is one of the most versatile stamp bundles ever. She's a year-round keeper and perfect for any occasion, and I do mean perfect. It's one of those stamp sets that you can do anything with from trees to flowers to hydrangeas, not to mention all of the wonderful alterations that you can go wild with in your creativity, and you can make so many different themed cards and scrapbook pages or even mixed media. If you want to make a good investment with your craft dollar, this is the bundle for you. It will be one of those that you never put away and will definitely become a staple on your desk that you will reach for often with the fabulous fonts and various sizes of sentiments and variety that will compliment your work perfectly.

My card today clean, simple, elegant and packs a punch, although it doesn't look like it. The stamp set and Thinlits did everything for me. I'm obsessed with light pink and gold right now, and used those colors on my card.

1  When die-cutting a foil sheet, put a piece of copy paper on TOP of the die so that the indentations do not transfer over to your foil die-cut from well-love die-cutting plates. This ensures a clean cut every time.

2  When opening up a new package of die-cutting plates, wipe both sides down with a Swiffer cloth to remove static.

3  Store your scraps of foil sheets in our 6 x 8 clear plastic pockets to keep the foil from getting scratched or bent. I also recommend this for our glitter card stock too, vellum, or any delicate paper.

4  Our Thin Die Adapter Plate is a must have to ensure a clean and precise cut every time and be sure to use our foam and brush to remove tiny pieces from delicate die-cuts. If you do not have the adapter, parchment paper or wax paper will work and you can use your paper piercing tool to poke out the little pieces if you do not have the brush or foam pad.

5  When heat embossing or simply setting your ink, be sure to let your heat tool get nice and hot first before you apply it to your card stock. Never use metal tweezers to hold your card stock while using the heat tool. The tweezers will heat up and burn you.

1  Cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock to 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" and score at 5-1/2" to make a top-folding A2 card.

2  Die-cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to approximately 3/16" less than the standard A2 card size. I used MFT Blueprints 13 for my stitch detail and die-cutting. I like the base of my card to show a bit more color than the usual 1/8", but this is strictly a preference.

3  Stamp your chosen sentiment from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set in the lower left corner using Black Archival Ink. Set aside to dry.

4  Stamp the large flower image onto a piece of Whisper White card stock with Blushing Bride ink. Selectively ink Flirty Flamingo onto the stamp and then do a faux Rock 'n Roll technique around the edges of the image with Watermelon Wonder ink. Give the entire image a quick huff and stamp onto your card stock. Once stamped, lightly mist on Sparkle Shimmer. Use an Aqua Painter, if necessary, to spread the ink around or to fill in spots that you feel need more coverage, dimension, or even introduce a new coordinating color. Let dry or use your heat tool on the low setting about 8" away to prevent warping. Once dry, use the coordinating Thinlit to die-cut the image out. There are tabs on the stamp and Thinlit to help you line up the image to die-cut as I demonstrated to you in the video.

5  Die-cut the stem and leaves Thinlit from Thoughtful Branches using a gold foil sheet. See Tip #1 above to ensure a clean cut that will not indent your foil sheet. Add liquid adhesive to the back of the gold foil sheet and adhere to the white card stock panel. Now is the time to adhere this panel to the Flirty Flamingo card stock base.

6  Add glue dots to the back of the flower image, position over the stem and press down to firmly adhere the image to the card. Add the smallest size of our Basic Jewels: Pearls, to the center of the flowers that you want accented.

7  Adhere/place 3 gold sequins to a roll of glue dots and place around the card using the Rule of 3's. I prefer to use glue dots to adhere sequins. Liquid adhesive, even matte, always makes its way through the middle hole of the sequin and dulls/smudges the sequin.

8  For the inside of my card, I once again cut a panel of Whisper White card stock from MFT Blueprints 13, stamped my sentiment in the upper left corner using Black Archival Ink and used my heat tool to set. I stamped the left-facing darling bird from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set with Flirty Flamingo ink at the bottom right. I pulled out the small leafy image, also from the above-named stamp set, and masked off part of the stem to make the image size-proportionate to the bird and stamped this with gold ink giving the illusion that the bird is carrying the branch. I let the entire panel dry for a few minutes and then adhered it to the inside of the card.

And now you have a lovely friendship card or even a sympathy card. Below is my product list, the video and pictures of the card that I made. Thank you so very much today for stopping by for a visit. Your ongoing and continued support is so appreciated. Don't forget to subscribe and thumbs up the video! Have a fabulous day and God bless!
