The Perfect Love Card

Hello there and a very happy Friday to you! Today I have the most perfect love card ever. I saw a card that Tami Mayberry made for Sizzix where she used aluminum to make her heart and then embossed/distressed her heart. It was so beautiful that it caught my eye instantly and I had to make it while adding my own touch to it. I love this card. It's beautifully masculine. Using MFTs Off The Grid 6 x 6 Paper Pack made all the difference with the geometric blue design. It's the last thing you would expect on this type of card and that's what makes it so amazing. I had posted this card on IG a few days ago and the picture of the card front was just awful. With all of the likes, comments and at least 50 emails from friends and followers wanting to purchase the card, I'm hesitant to take it down. I don't even know if I can swap it out or not. As you know, I'm very challenged in any technical arena.

This card was so easy to make and took less than 10 minutes. I cut a piece of MFTs Red Hot card stock to an A2 top-folding card and used Blueprints 13 to die-cut the Off The Grid 6 x 6 Paper Pack. I found a scrap piece of Stampin' Up! Red Foil card stock and used MFT Stitched Heart Die-namics to die-cut my heart. Y'all know how much I love my stitch detail! Previous to that, I had sized up the heart that I wanted to die-cut so that it would be cohesive with my sentiment by Mama Elephant Love Quotes. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. This is a fabulous rich black ink. It's permanent and of archive quality, so you have to set it aside to dry or use a heat tool to dry it. When I have to dry archival ink, I prefer to use the Tim Holtz/Ranger Heat It Craft Tool. It puts out good, low heat to minimize warping and you can get it directly on top of any card stock, like 1/2" away. I set that for a few seconds. I put foam dots on the back of my die-cut heart and adhered it to the grid paper. I used the rule of 3s to apply my clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh on the card and then wrapped Silver Cording Trim by Stampin' Up! 4x around the front of the card and tied a bow more towards the left side to balance out the card.

For the inside, I die-cut a piece of Smooth White card stock by MFT, again using Blueprints 13 and stamped the sentiment inside, adhering another red foil heart die-cut from the same dies mentioned above using a different size.

This card is crazy elegant and classy, and I absolutely love it. I'm going to put it into one of Stampin' Up!'s clear card envelopes since there's nobody to send this card to and I don't want it to collect dust.

I did manage to get much better pictures for this blog post than what is on my IG page and you can see them below.

I have also made the conscious decision to delete my Twitter account. Twitter has taken a strong stance in supporting what I personally consider to be a terrorist group by giving them their own emoticon every time they are hashtagged. I cannot and will not support any type of violence on social media avenues, and deleting my account is my own personal and peaceful protest against their decision. With that being said, I will be removing the link from my sidebar.

I would like to thank you so very much for stopping by to visit me today and be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the Paper Craft Crew Mid-Week Inspiration video and card. Don't forget to enter my July Cindy B Designs Challenge and send birthday cards to Jacob! God bless and I will see you again tomorrow. I think I'm coming out of my creative drought as my card is my own design!

Whoops! I need to generate a supply list for you and will do that now.
