Clean & Simple Office-Themed Cards

CASTuesRotatingBannerHello there everybody! I've been organizing a little bit and came across some of my older and neglected stamp sets and decided to pull them out and give them a fresh, new life. Both cards took less than 10 minutes to make.

My first card is made with Type It by Mama Elephant. I used Carta Bella's Hello Again 6 x 6 Paper Pad that has some great papers in this pack with a wide variety of patterns that can be used for any occasion. I adhered the typewriter paper die-cut from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13 onto a top-folding A2 size white card stock. I then die-cut a piece of the ombre-ish yellow paper using My Favorite Things Fishtail Stitched Banners. I treated this with my powder tool, stamped the images with my MISTI – there are 2 of them of the typewriter and piece of paper – onto the paper with Versamark Champagne Dazzle. I then heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder. I stamped my sentiments in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the piece of paper coming out of the typewriter and heat embossed that with clear embossing powder. I put a piece of white fun foam behind the fishtail banner for dimension and then adhered it to the center of the card. I found some black and gold Washi tape and tore a small piece of that off the roll and adhered it above my image panel. I punched out a heart from Stampin' Up! Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and used a black clip to place it on my image panel. Nice. Clean. Simple. Catches your eye.

For my next card, I went W-A-Y back into the archives and am using Just My Type by My Favorite Things. My card base is a Smooth White top-folding A2 card. I used MFT Rainbow Stripes for the black accent on the left side of the card and Authentique Infused for the almost Mint Macaroon-looking striped paper, which was adhered to the card with fun foam. I stamped the typewriter in Calypso Coral by Stampin' Up! and the typewriter paper is a separate die that I stamped my sentiment in with Memento Tuxedo Black. Both were die-cut out with the coordinating Die-Namics by MFT. I added foam tape to the back of the image and sentiment and adhered it to my card. I used an older Stampin' Up! silver paper clip and black lace ribbon from a few years back. If I like something, I hold onto it, retired or not, and I've gotten a lot of good use out of this roll of ribbon. It's the perfect literal tie-on/in for the rule of 3s for my black accents. I didn't use any sequins or anything fancy on these cards. I think they turned out just fine the way they are and hope that you do to. Break out your older crafty items and look at them with a fresh perspective. It's amazing what you will be able to come up with now that you're a few more years along in your art journey and have picked up so many new techniques and coloring mediums, and so much more.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today to visit me. God bless and have a great day!
