Hello there! For today's clean and simple card I made this really funky retro cat card. The image and sentiment are from Gina K Designs Made With Love Stamp TV Kit stamped onto GKD White Pure Luxury Layering Weight card stock with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink using my MISTI so I could really darken the image up without heat embossing. I then die-cut the image out with MFT Stamps Stitched Ovals and Mini Scallop Stitched Ovals die-cut from Avery Elle Raspberry card stock as my mat. I die-cut a piece of white fun foam with the stitched ovals and adhered that to the back of my image panel, that was then adhered to a piece of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pack die-cut with MFT Stamps Blueprints 15 and layered onto an Avery Elle Raspberry Note Card. As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with Birthday Boy Orange Sprinkle Enamel Dots by Doodlebug Design. This took less than 10 minutes to put together.
I love the look of this retro card with the bold colors and the Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pack by Lawn Fawn is to die for. The colors and patterns are fabulous and it's been sitting on my desk for weeks now. I want to use it on everything. I could easily change the colors to blues and greens to make this a more masculine card since the image and sentiment is just so well-rounded and versatile to use. I like it when you can come up with a great card using your dies for the stitch detail with just one embellishment and in less than 10 minutes. This card is an easy mass produce and the Stamp TV Kit has a wide variety of sentiments or you can just break out any sentiment set you have on hand and change it up while keeping it simple. I did color the cats in with my Black Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, but it's hard to see in the picture. This just added a tad of subtle sparkle, which is why I chose to use the black pen rather than the clear. I wanted the intensity of the black ink to jump out at you rather than the sparkle and I achieved that.
