Caution: Birthday Ahead, Clean & Simple Tuesday, April 5, 2016

CASTuesRotatingBannerHello there friends. Today I made a birthday card for my grandson who will be turning 2 next month. I will probably make a ton of them. I've also stitched him up a zoo of baby stuffed animals from Papertrey Ink Stitch-A-Softie. This card was stamped and die-cut using Taylored Expressions Dig In Stamp & Die Combo. I did some very basic Copic Marker coloring with no fancy blending. I ink distressed my background with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass and a mini ink blending tool on Ranger Watercolor Card Stock. I used my My Favorite Things Blueprints, of course, to cut all of my panels with, including the road, which is from Carta Bella Boy Oh Boy. I added in the yellow line with a Copic Marker and a ruler. Everything was adhered to a Smokey Shadow Card Stock base. I like my cards to have stitched detail wherever possible. It just adds that little something that really makes a difference in your card.

I'm sure you will be seeing a lot more little boy birthday cards, welcome baby cards, congratulations cards for my cousins, friends who are expecting or just had a grandbaby, and a lot of love-themed cards over the next few weeks. Best of all, tons of flowers! Spring is here! We have some beautiful weather right now, but it is expected to cool down in a few days, unfortunately.

It seems that my mouse is only on steroids when I write a blog post and try to highlight a link for you. It just goes nuts, so I will have to find out what's going on with WordPress as this is obviously their issue and I'm hoping to find a Widget or Plug-In that will remedy the situation. However, I just now discovered that while I'm in the HTML mode of a blog post, the mouse is okay allowing me to link as I was deleting my usual Simple Content Template. Options are a good thing and this will also allow me to blow off finding the culprit of this for a little bit longer.

I will also try to do a video for you later this week on some fun happy accidents I've come across lately and a product review on the Lawn Fawn Shammy and the new mini MISTI tool. Both are must haves for your craft arsenal.

I'm still trying to finish up organizing my craft room, but I'm doing it right this time around, like taking the time to label my Tim Holtz products. I am totally loving my space and the 4 x 6 island that allows me to sit and stand while I craft that is totally back friendly to keep me moving around. I am so loving that I can find everything that I want to use when I want to use it and more products are beautifully displayed. I love the clean lines of the room and have up-cycled several items. I still have an incredible amount of space to fill and as usual, time is always an issue with me. As you can see, I still have quite a bit of work to do, but I was able to find some of my craft books. I hope that you are having a very blessed day so far. This is not the best picture, but I thought that you might to meet my button ROYGBIV for now. I grouped my red and pink, black and gray, and cream and white buttons in one jar together to save space. I hope that you are having a very blessed day so far.

I have a July 1 goal, that I will meet, to clear out both storage units and get everything sold, a completely organized garage and all of my craft items that I no longer use, and just overall moved in all the way. While sorting, I've found a few things of my parents that I really didn't expect to find. I don't like it when that happens. I can tell you that I will have all of my Flourishes and The Stamps of Life up on eBay later this week, including The Stamps of Life Flip-It die-cuts and other coordinating items. It is easier for me to sell in lots so I will be grouping items together, such as by season or theme.

Until I get this mouse thing figured out, I'm going to have to hold off on linking and use my InLinkz tool instead. Unfortunately, I do not have a library built up for that and again, it takes time. However, it is beneficial for me to use that tool due to affiliate links.

Here is my adorable little boy birthday card.
