Paper Craft Crew Mid-Week Inspiration #184 + Watercolor Words

Hello there and welcome to the Mid-Week Inspiration for the Paper Craft Crew! We hope that you enjoyed this week's sketch and last week's blog candy. I can't believe how long it's been since I've made a blog post!

Today I broke out the Watercolor Words stamp set with their coordinating Bold Butterfly Framelit Dies, which are a bundle that can be purchased together and you save 15% and a free Sale-A-Bration item while you're at it! This stamp set has a tremendous color possibilities to make any kind of beautiful butterfly that you want with the framelits and it's up to 4-layer stamping.

I absolutely LOVE the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. It goes with anything and is so elegant with the beautiful water-colored images. I like to cut out the images from the DSP and use them on cards too. It's so very versatile and a good investment.

I made this feminine card for my Big Princess and I hope that she enjoys it. I did a little surgery on the photopolymer sentiment to split it up for my outside and inside sentiments. I used the soft colors of Blushing Bride and Mint Macaroon as my base colors with Watermelon Wonder thrown in as my more dominant color.

I cut an A2 tent size from Heavy Whisper White card stock. I layered a piece of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper on top of that, cut a Blushing Bride panel for the right side and used the backside of the DSP to layer onto the Blushing Bride and adhered it to my card.

I pulled a doily out and die-cut a piece of Watermelon Wonder card stock using the largest butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Framelits. I then stamped the layers for my butterfly using the Watercolor Words large butterfly with Blushing Bride as my base layer, Calypso Coral as the 2nd layer and Watercolor Wonder for the detail layer. I used Black Archival Ink for the center of my butterfly and then adhered small black enamel dots down the center. I adhered the stamped butterfly to the Watercolor Wonder butterfly with adhesive in the center only to give the illusion of the wings flapping. I then adhered the butterflies to the white doily and adhered to the base of the card.

For my sentiment, I stamped the first half of my sentiment onto Blushing Bride card stock with Black Archival Ink, punched it out with a 1-3/8" circle, a white circle with the 1-1/2" circle, adhered them together, and then punched out a 1-3/4" scallop circle and adhered the other 2 circles on top using foam tape and adhered the entire sentiment panel to the card with Fast Fuse.

I then used some clear sequins to scatter around the card and added Jewel Rhinestones to the middle.

The inside of the card was done much like the outside of the card except I used the smaller delicate butterfly die-cut from Watermelon Wonder card stock and used Jewel Rhinestones to accent the center of the butterfly.

There is only 3 more weeks of Sale-A-Bration left! If you like any of the products that you see, just click below and it will take you right to my online Stampin' Up! store.
