Hello there my friends! Over at the Paper Craft Crew, we are introducing just one of many new changes we have prepared for you for 2016. Today we are starting off with our mid-week inspiration project with a video featuring a technique. Above, you will see the colors for this week's challenge with neutrals being "free." I went ahead and used all 4 colors on my trees from Lovely As a Tree. I really wanted my trees to have that true autumnal look so I decided that I would use the thumping technique. That technique has been around forever, but it's still great, especially with cards using larger images like mine. I have a cute little 4-Bar note card size that is clean and simple so I was able to keep the embellishments off. I also completed the inside of my card and used the rock 'n roll technique for my leaves. Sometimes I think the inside of my card turns out better than the outside of my card! Thumping is so easy and the markers really do all of the work for you. NEVER use your alcohol markers on any of your stamp images. In my video, I talk about thumping and spritzing the image lightly with glimmer mist or water and then stamping it for a more water-colored look. There are so many possibilities that you can do with this fun technique. Thumping doesn't take very long and it's a card that looks lovely and can be easily mass produced.
