STV15MON37, Autumn Wishes Stamp TV Kit, Masculine Birthday Card

Hello there my friends. I've been just a stampin' fool between my chores this weekend. I'm also having a lot of fun with this great new Autumn Wishes Stamp TV Kit by Gina K. Designs. Since I'm still cleaning and organizing my craft space, it's only natural to take breaks as often as possible and break out some fun. There is a clean and simple challenge going on over at Stamp TV so I thought that I would make a card real fast for my cousin's husband's birthday that is coming up in a few weeks. The card may look clean and simple, but some work did go into it. All of my products are from the Autumn Wishes Stamp TV Kit except for the inside sentiment. It's pretty convenient to have dozens of cards that you can make all in one place since the kit comes in a plastic storage case. I keep all kit contents together, including the stamp set, ribbon, dies, patterned paper or any other accessories, and use my Dymo to label the side of the kit and store them on a shelf in alphabetical order. I have a good organization system with my Gina K. Designs products and one of these days I will do a video for you. I haven't had the chance to really play with my video editing program, Camtasia. When I have, there have been some compatibility issues. Their customer service has been really good and since it's been such a long time that I've spoken with them and of course, I can't find my notes, I'm sure I will be one the phone with them again. Most of the time, this Mac has a mind of its own.

Anyhow, back to my card. There's several techniques that I used. I am not a button person too much anymore, but when I went hunting for one to fill in some space on my banner, for some reason, I just reached for my buttons and picked out this pretty little flower. Since it's a masculine card, I think it's okay for Bryce. I just loved the color and shape. There was also some space at the top of the card that I needed to get balanced out and remembered seeing this Cricut Papaya Halves embossing strip when I was organizing my embossing folders. It was exactly what I needed. I do wish that I had put the banner sentiment on the left side of the card to really balance out the card since it is a bit right-side heavy. It happens. For the leaves stamped in Dark Chocolate ink, I did add some Dark Chocolate Embossing Powder that is very fine (love it) by Gina K. Designs. I didn't like the way that it didn't shine up as I did wait longer than usual since it was a last minute idea, so I used a Brown Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to add a little something to my leaves. They have just a little bit of shine to them, which is nice.

When I stamped the Cranberry Tart grunge squares under the leaves, I did rotate the stamp. My sentiment is adhered to foam tape stamped with Cranberry Tart ink. The Ivory card stock really breaks up the bold colors of this card.

For the inside of my card, I used a strip of patterned paper from the Autumn Wishes 6 x 6 Paper Pad that was left over from a full sheet that I used to die-cut my envelope liner from. I adhered that to a Pure Luxury Ivory Layering Weight piece of card stock and then stamped various leaves using Cranberry Tart and Prickly Pear inks. My sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Cottage Greetings that was stamped in Dark Chocolate ink. For Bryce's card, he will love the inside sentiment.

Thank you so very much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you! I hope that you have a great day! I have a lot of pictures to show you because I couldn't make up my mind as to which ones I liked the best.

Be sure to stop back by soon!
