Hello, MFTWSC241, Clean & Simple Tuesday

Hello there my friends. Welcome to today's Clean & Simple Tuesday card that's pulling double duty with My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 241 (MFTWSC241).

I will have a full description for you on Tuesday. Right now, it's very late and I also have a very long day ahead of me tomorrow. I just wanted to get my card entered in time.

Wow, okay, what a long day! Let's get to some more pictures of this fun, yet a tad masculine card. I found the perfect rope to accent the sides of the card – actually it was laying on the floor since I'm still trying to organize the craft room disaster. When will it ever end?

For today's card, I used the Go Overboard stamp set by My Favorite Things with Let's Get Nautical Die-Namics. My card stock is Papertrey Ink White Fine Linen and My Favorite Things Nightshift Blue and Red Hot. The porthole is inlaid and I used Blueprints 15 for the Nightshift Blue panel. I die-cut the anchor and wheel from Red Hot card stock and used a clear Wink of Stella Pen on them for a little sparkle. I stamped my sentiment using Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink (my favorite) and then punched it out with the new Stampin' Up! Washi Tape punch. I popped that up on some foam tape for extra dimension. I played hard and fast with the sketch.

I'm still loving my new home. It's not a house, but it's my home. The only room that's really "done" is my guest bathroom. I'm hoping to get my dad's antiques in the guest bedroom soon. My cousin has 6 sets plantation shutters that fit my windows perfectly, thank God, as in my office in the afternoon, it's blazing hot in here. She's going to scrub them down for me and my high school principal, of all people, who lives in Chico now, is going to install them for me. I am so happy here and it's been a long time. God brought me up here for a reason and as much as I hated it at the beginning, I'm starting to see why now and it's all good.

I hope that you enjoy my card today and derive some inspiration from it. Be kind and gentle with people. You never know what their struggles are and what they are battling. People may look perfect on the outside and portray a perfect life, but on the inside, they are in pain. Make every day count and make a difference where you can.

Tomorrow is the orientation at Calvary Chapel for a new Bible study that I'm going to with some of my girlfriends and I'm really looking forward to that. My GF Jodie was talking about how there is so much homework. That is okay. It keeps me in the Word more and longer. Find the time to praise God daily for what He has so generously given you. It's the least you can do for Him considering He gave His Son for us.

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow to see what I made you for my design team work for the Paper Craft Crew! You will love the adorable Halloween bag I made. I know I love it!
