Paper Craft Crew Challenge Sketch 157, Witch Way to the Candy?

Hello there my friends! Today is a fabulous new sketch at the Paper Craft Crew and we would love for you to join us! When uploading your project to any social media or online galleries, please use keyword PCCCS157 or hashtag #papercraftcrew.

I had to break out the Holiday 2015 Stampin' Up! Catalog for my card. As a demonstrator, I receive my products a month in advance, which is a great benefit. You can get sneak peeks below of the products that I am using from the new Holiday Catalog. I will also be showcasing more products for you throughout the month and you can start shopping on September 1. I have a lot of plans for my Christmas cards, wrapping and homemade gifts this year. I've recently taken up canning fruits and vegetables. It is so much fun and they make such inexpensive Christmas gifts that any recipient is sure to enjoy and Stampin' Up! has just the right products for you to do this by having everything right at your fingertips, most of which is already available at my Stampin' Up! Online Store, such as Mini Muslin bags, glassine bags, plastic bags, stamp sets and more, that you can customize for Christmas or any other occasion. Below is a wonderful picture of how you can package fresh herbs and is just one of hundreds of ideas for you to package homemade goods. We have so many products to help you package and beautifully decorate your gifts. In the Annual Catalog, there are 2 perfect 12 x 12 packages of Designer Series Paper for you to get an early start of Farmers Market and Merry Moments. The Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper is a great accent for any project. The Farmers Market Designer Series Paper is absolutely swoonworthy and spot on for homemade food gifts. Of course, you can't miss all of the embellishments for that special touch. Take a look at all of your packaging items that are available so far. There is more to come on September 1.

Theme2_softsuede_aThis project is so fast, fun and easy to put together within minutes and perfect for mass producing as well. Change up the colors for Christmas or even a gift to bring to the hostess at Thanksgiving. If you do not have a current demonstrator, please contact me and I will send you out the Annual 2015-2016 Catalog and the new Holiday Catalog. If you already have a demonstrator, please contact her for your catalogs.

As mentioned yesterday, I am very excited to offer you Product Shares for the Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog this year, and I'm bringing back my Monthly Kit Club. I will have the details posted by the end of the week. I've made the Product Shares in several different offerings and to fit every budget. I am already working on my Christmas gifts and am enjoying every single second of it. No more last minute shopping for me. Next week, I will have an instructional video for you on how to make tags for the various sizes of packages for everybody on your Christmas list that will look lovely under the Christmas tree. I have already made a few and they are oh so timeless, classy and elegant, and they will coordinate perfectly with all Christmas decor.

For today's card, even though Halloween is almost 2 months away, I just couldn't resist making this adorable card using 3 of the new stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog of Among the Branches (spooky circle that is easily punched out with our 2" circle punch), Haunt Ya Later (candy sentiment that was punched out with the new Washi Tape punch), and Howl-o-ween Treat (witch hat with coordinating Framelits for every image in the stamp set). I really wish I could find my camcorder. Unfortunately, that is one of the items that the movers decided to help themselves too. I would have loved to make a video for you showing you how I made this card. It really didn't take much time at all and turned out great!

I used the new and so fun Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper that is packed full of great patterns, many of which you can use all year long. The colors are Basic Black, Tangelo Twist and Very Vanilla. I kept my card using these 3 colors only. The card is a basic A2 landscape size. I started out with a Basic Black card base and layered on Very Vanilla. I then cut my Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper, which is the only designer series paper that I used for this card, to adhere over the Very Vanilla panel. The stars pattern measures 2 x 4 and the circle pattern measures 3-1/4 x 4. I then stamped out my Spooky circle from the Among the Branches stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock with Tangelo Twist Classic Stampin' Pad and punched it out with my 2' circle punch and added 3 Basic Black Neutrals Candy Dots. Next, I adhered a super trendy new Spider Web Doily to my patterned card stock panel. What an awesome new product! You get 24 of these in a package for $4.50 and each measures 4-3/4". That is a deal my friends! I only added adhesive to the center part of the doily and then trimmed the excess off with my Paper Snips. I added my Spooky circle to the center of the doily and it was a perfect fit. I then stamped another sentiment of "Witch Way to the Candy," from Haunt Ya Later with Versamark Ink onto another piece of designer series paper and with Gold Stampin' Embossing Powder, I used my Heat Tool to set it. Don't forget to use your Embossing Buddy! I was able to place my sentiment exactly where I wanted it so that you could see it through the designer series paper and then punched it out with the new Washi Tape punch. I made sure to punch it out so that the sentiment was more toward the left side of the punched image so that I could slip the right side under the Spooky circle. I then used a piece of Happy Haunting Designer Washi Tape as an embellishment accent for a star visual triangle. The Washi tape also includes a roll of Rich Razzleberry, which is a perfect complimentarily color to our basic color palette for this card.

Lastly, using the new and very convenient Black Glimmer Paper, I die-cut the witch hat from the Howl-o-Ween stamp set that you can purchase as a bundle and save 15% with the coordinating Framelits. The witch hat was much larger than I expected, as are the rest of the images in the set. In the catalog, the images are true to size. I then die-cut the with hat again onto our Gold Foil Paper. In keeping with the star theme that I had going on, I pulled out my Confetti Stars punch and carefully punched out some stars from the Black Glimmer Paper and adhered it on top of the Gold Foil Paper. I then adhered the witch hat to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. It perfectly ties in with my gold embossed sentiment too.

For the inside of my card, I cut another piece of Very Vanilla card stock and also brought elements from the outside of my card to the inside by using the Washi Tape punch again with the star patterned paper and adhered that to the top right of the inside. I then stamped the large "Trick or Treat" sentiment from Howl-o-Ween Treat stamp set with Versamark and Gold Stampin' Embossing Powder and set that with my Heat Tool. The little pumpkin was stamped in Tangelo Twist and heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Embossing Powder. The little star was die-cut from the coordinating Framelits and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot under the pumpkin. I then adhered the inside panel to the Basic Back Card Stock.

For my envelope, I used Very Vanilla and once again stamped on the pumpkin image with Tangelo Twist heat embossing it with Clear Stampin' Embossing Powder. I punched another strip of star patterned paper using the Washi Tape punch and adhered it to the top right of the envelope. I stamped the little spiders from the Howl-o-Ween stamp set with Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad in a random pattern. I also lined my envelope using the Envelope Liners Framelit Dies.

I hope that you enjoyed today's card and don't forget to stop by the blogs of the design team members to see their cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you.
