Hi friends. This month, I got my baby grandson bath toys with a focus on what you would find in the water, besides the baby. His little toys include a yellow rubber duckie and some other fun sea animals. I made him a card and a tag, which so do not match at all, but they're super cute. Last month he got boats so I'm going to have to start changing gears here. I also have pictures of the other tags that I've made him too that I will have to share with you soon.
I decided to use a sketch from a challenge blog that I've seen around for a few years but have never participated in it. Today's sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches 174 (FMS174). I know a few of the designers on their team and they have some pretty cool sketches. It's a pretty popular challenge blog.
I'm going to show you his card first with the list of supplies under it and then I will show you his tag with the list of supplies under that as well.
Did you know that in the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog there is an adorable lineup of baby products that coordinates wonderfully with the baby products in the annual Idea Book & Catalog? I mixed and matched products for my grandson's tag.
I've been working with a lot of 12 x 12 designer series paper lately, which is not my norm. When I do use patterned paper, it's usually from a 6 x 6 or 8 x 8 paper pad, and it's rare that I use patterned paper anymore. What I've found helpful to make the most out of your 12 x 12 designer series paper and to stretch it out a bit is to cut it in half of 6 x 12 and then cut one of those pieces down to 6 x 6 to use for your project. That will leave you with one 6 x 6 piece of paper for card making and one 6 x 12 piece of paper for scrapbooking.
