Thinking of You, Paper Craft Crew Challenge Sketch 128 (PCCCS128)

Hello there everybody. As usual, lots of stuff going on. I have some weekend projects that I will share with you in a few days. But for you, today is my design team card for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge Sketch 128 (Keyword: PCCCS128/Hashtags: #papercraftcrew, #PCCCS128).

We always have a fun sketch every single week and I love them. Today I used Tap Tap Tap by Stampin' Up!. I pulled my color scheme together at the last minute. I wanted to use lighter colors with a spring palette, but this is what I ended up with. I have several other stamp sets that I want to use this sketch on too so I think I will whip up a few more real fast. All of our sketches are instant go-to sketches and I'd love to have our fearless leader put together a sketch book, but, you can always go back through the blog to check out all of the sketches and examples that the design team members have made throughout the years. Be sure to stop by their blogs and leave them a comment. They make lovely cards and I'm sure they would appreciate it!

Today's card is using all of the new In Colors of Baked Brown Sugar, Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey. I used the Banner Framelit Dies for my image panel rather than square dies. Other than that, I stayed pretty close to the sketch and only used one stamp set compared to the 5 stamp sets I used last week.

This card was super easy to make. I stamped the key image about 80% up the Very Vanilla card stock panel with Hello Honey and matted that onto a Baked Brown Sugar panel. I wrapped a piece of Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the top of it then adhered it to an A2 tent Blackberry Bliss card stock base with Stampin' Dimensionals. I die-cut two Banner Framelits from Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped on the Baked Brown Sugar card stock using the notebook paper stamp from Tap Tap Tap in Early Espresso. I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig and really only meant to use the Early Espresso on the imaging sheet and do the actual stamping using Versamark. I forgot to clean the stamp and ended up re-inking it again in Early Espresso and stamped it on the banner. It worked in the long run since I cut the mat banner down so the banner was more to scale. I stamped my typewriter image (love that image and the entire stamp set is very cool) using Blackberry Bliss ink and my sentiment is in Hello Honey. I adhered that to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals since you know I love my dimension. I grabbed a smaller piece of the above-mentioned ribbon, tied it into a knot, notched the ends to tie in with the banner and adhered it to the card with a glue dot. Per the sketch on the left side, there are 3 accents so I decided to stamp the typewriter keys, which is a very convenient one stamp with 2 rows of keys, onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with Blackberry Bliss ink. I found a little 3/8" circle punch and punched out the typewriter keys of the same size and adhered those to the panel with glue dots. Pretty nifty if I do say so myself!

Since this sketch is so much fun and I have about 5 more stamp sets on my desk since I couldn't make up my mind when I started the card, I might as well make some more cards! So, that's exactly what I'm going to do.

I also made a super fun envelope and am finally decorating the inside of my card so I have a completed card all ready to pop in the mail or to give to a friend on the fly. I used a Very Vanilla envelope and our Envelope Liners Framelits. Since this card has an "office-y" theme to it, I thought that it would be cute to staple my sentiment banner inside. The Washi tape at the lower left corner balances out the inside of the card perfectly.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you. Have a great day and make it one that matters. I hope that you like my card and it inspires you.
