Paper Craft Crew Challenge #119, Soccer Girl Card

Hi friends. I'm back today with a card for my design team work with the Paper Craft Crew Challenges! A lot of my besties are on this design team that I met and stayed with at the 2012 Stampin' Up! Convention. We stayed in a beautiful house and for the week, it was only $137 per person and this included food! I haven't been able to make it to Convention for the last 2 years but I think it would be fun in 2015.

We have an awesome sketch for you today! Check it out.

I made this adorable soccer card. It's the most loaded up card I've made and it took a few days because of these hand issues, but I got it done. I did take it to physical therapy with me yesterday to have some of the ladies help me with some of the fine motor skills that needed to be done. See my circle to the left? That's a faux soccer ball that I stamped! Even more surprising is that I actually used a Project Life Accessory Kit from Little Moments for the embellishments on the left side. The gorgeous twine matches perfectly and I cheated because it's not Stampin' Up! but it matched so perfectly and I really needed it. I've been wanting to use the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper really bad and I did with this card using the numbers to represent soccer goals. The paper is almost tissue in texture which is why I wanted to try it. I used 3 stamp sets and kept my colors to Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla. The sentiment die-cuts fit perfectly. I used a gold star paper clip from Basic Hodgepodge Clips to tie in the star from the Little Moments Accessory Kit that I cut out and adhered under my soccer ball and the triangle stickers represent the pylons that you see on the outside lines of the field. I will admit that I am quite proud of myself for thinking of using the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set to make a soccer ball. I'm really not that creative to jump outside of the box like that. My mat is the same size circle from the Circles Collection Framelits or else my soccer ball would have been hidden. Considering it was the 8th time I tried to make the ball – don't ask me what happened since I even used a Stamp-a-ma-jig – I'm guessing it was the fine motor skills problem I have. I'm officially left-handed now since I can print my name that doesn't look like a Kindergartner's (no offense to the little ladies and gents). I make it cursive by adding loops to tie my name together. Whoo hoo! I gave up dotting the "i" in Cindy a long time ago. I remember when this first happened, Mike and I would go to the store and he would always try to buy my groceries and I'm like I can get my own, I'd ask the clerk if I could just put an X where you had to sign your name. They took mercy on me after I had to show them my ID. If I don't laugh about it, I will cry. Even though this card is loaded up for me, it's a clean load, if that makes any sense…and speaking of which…I think I have one of those in the dryer that needs to be fluffed, so I will sign off for a few days and hopefully continue my grand plans of eBaying, starting my classes and trying to get cleaned up and organized here.

I'm having a very difficult time with the upcoming holidays since I won't be with my family. I will never be with my family for any holidays.

I'm going to show you my card now and I hope that you like it. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and don't forget to check out the rest of the Paper Craft Crew's design team cards and leave a comment. They are all beautiful!
