Hi friends. Today I thought that I would play along with the Shining the Light Challenge with my friends at Our Daily Bread Designs. The challenge is based off of Ecc. 3:1-8 and I gotta tell you, I'm waiting for the good seasons! I'm really over a time to cry and stuff like that, really over it.

I've really been wanting to break out these lovely stamp sets and make a card so I did just that. I also made a video but I need to download it and "edit" it since I have a feeling it's going to be very long. However, in my defense, this card was very involved and took a lot of work. It's definitely outside of my usual clean and simple style. I do wish I had fanned out the leaves a bit more because it just looks like a pile of leaves, which isn't bad since leaves are usually in piles, I just wanted them fanned out more so you could see just how beautiful they turned out. I really wanted to heat emboss them in gold as it would have looked so pretty but it would have been too much gold. If I had embossed my scripture panel in Early Espresso, then it would have been too much brown concentrated in one area. I made the executive decision to go with brown but was really tempted and had to hold myself back from spraying a little gold shimmer on the leaves. In my video, I do have a technique to show you about selective die-cutting to achieve the lovely pierced border around my sentiment panel.

Notice the other banner at the top of this post? It's a new class that I'll be holding starting next Monday at Cindy B Designs Online Card Classes and I am really looking forward to you joining me. The cost is $12.99 for 5 fun-filled days of making some extremely cool Christmas Gift Wraps, Bags, Tags & Boxes. I am definitely on a tight budget this year and it's so much fun to make your own, don't you think? I love giving away handmade gifts too. I have a new passion of junking and oh the vintage finds that I score are so beautiful! I had purchased a charming dish that was gold rimmed a few weeks ago. It was so lovely with roses and just stunning. I carefully washed it and set it on the counter to dry on a drying cushion next to my sink. My very naughty cat decided to jump up to the sink and have some dirty water despite having a full bowl of clean water next to his food bowl. I shooed him off and he took my dish with him to the floor. I was pretty upset. It really was one of the most beautiful little trinkets I have ever seen and with the thick gold rim, it was awful. It was one of those keepsake pieces that you could put jewelry in or even crafty items, such as mixed sequins. Every time I looked at that beautiful trinket, it made me happy. I really do hope I find another piece like it, although very doubtful. It was just in too many pieces to put back together and it wouldn't have looked right. I found some great vintage wood trays to keep my projects in and was as giddy as a schoolgirl when The Man found me some wire vintage locker baskets – make that double giddy. The Man is so wonderful. However, it's not a good idea to ask a trauma surgeon if he can find studs in walls and hang up pictures. His reply, and I love his dry sense of humor because I can have one too, was, "I drilled a guy's skull back together today, does that count?" Oops! But it's really okay. His eyes light up when he talks to me, he has a smile on his face and the tone of his voice is obviously not sarcastic. It's so different and it's so good and exactly the way it should be and what I've missed out on my entire adult life.

After the above class, I have a Clean & Simple and easy to mass produce fast card class coming up too! After that, I'm done for the year and will start working on 2015 classes. There is a science to mass producing, even in front of the TV, so that will be a "bonus video" before class and I will be using the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and die bundle by Stampin' Up! and recreate the card below. Or, I might just come up with something entirely new.

I will be updating my blog today revealing to you more information about my new online class. I hope you're as excited about it as I am!

I also want to let you know that by the end of the week, I am going to start seriously eBaying a good 80% of my craft room. I have too much stuff. You name it, I have it, and enough to last anybody a lifetime! More importantly, I need divorce retainer money. My dad's car is paid off and I need to keep that once the lease is up on my Volvo. It would be nice not to have a car payment for the first time since I was 16 and I'm dead serious. Daddy picked out the car and he let me pick out everything else so of course I got all of the bells and whistles and she's fully loaded!

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you! I hope you like my card and are inspired by it.

Obviously Ecc. 3:1-8.
