Day 1 of the Stampin’ Up! 2014-2015 Catalog Show ‘n Tell; Hooray For You!

1415CatSNTRotatingBannerHello my friends! Welcome to Day 1 of the Stampin' Up! 2014-2015 Catalog Show 'n Tell! This class will showcase to you all of the new Stampin' Up! products for this awesome catalog. I am so excited to have you crafting with me today! Every day I will have a video for you demonstrating a technique or just using the new very cool products to make something. In the video, I will tell you what the challenge is and have an InLinkz at the bottom of each post for you to share your beautiful work with us too! I will also have daily prizes too that you can win for participating. Make a card, get a prize. How easy is that?!  I will also list what the challenge is in this blog post so I don't forget and for the prize? It's a surprise for you. I have a few guest designers on board too that are fellow demonstrators.

If you would like a catalog, just shoot me off an email and I would love to send you one and earn your business.

Today we are focusing on the Geometrical and Hello Darling stamp sets, as well as all of the brand new smashing In Colors. There's an excellent color palette  where no two colors are alike. From a few years ago, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple, at least to me, were just too close on the color wheel. Not this time around. There are some amazing colors and I actually love them all. I can't pick a favorite. The colors coordinate with our current lineup and you will see that in this video. The circle from Hello Darling will be on the bottom and I will stamp the darker new In Color on top using a solid circle from Geometrical. I covered my Very Vanilla with a piece of very light patterned paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. When I stamped on the solid circle, the pattern showed through and really gave it some surprisingly unexpected results of adding additional texture to the card.

If the video seems a little choppy, it's because I was trying to edit to keep the time down. The chatting doesn't help much, but I love to chat with you as it is part of teaching, it's just I don't think you need to see me stamp the same thing 3 times. So, that combined with the chatting will hopefully mean shorter videos for making just a regular card. Since most of my videos are teaching videos, that is why they are longer but I still believe I can shorten them up. This video is 35 minutes long. I have managed to get rid of the glare and more importantly, fixing my tripod as it was a little too high and the mechanism to lower the tripod was broke and it was nothing that a pair of pliers couldn't fix. I am watching the video right now on another computer and it seems like I'm in slow motion and my hands are weird. It's just weird. I think I got that result when I uploaded the video to You Tube, you have an option of whether or not to let You Tube adjust your video to a better color. The color turns out great, it's the other stuff that I don't like and you don't either.

I do hope that you enjoy this series and please let me know if there's something that you want me to do or elaborate on. I also would like to thank you for taking your time to participate in this class. I have your badge for you below to put on your blog and please link it back to this blog, cindybdesigns.com. I would love for you to share this with your friends. I will also be doing outside prize patrol to see if you have my badge on your blog on a regular basis. That's where the real prize action is – like heat tool, Big Shot, free Product Shares. etc. Be sure to check back for my Product Shares for you to purchase. I'm also working on those and you will love what I have in store for you.

Enjoy!
