CASE Myself Week, May 28 – June 1, 2014 and Stampin’ Up! Product Shares

Hi everybody. I finally got my 2014 schedule done as far as the classes I will be having for the rest of this year and will list them up at the top of my Home Page under 2014 Class Schedule. The fee-based classes will be held at Cindy B Designs Card Classroom and the no charge classes will be here on my blog.

I haven't made up my mind yet as to which classes will be fee-based (generally those that are advanced) and I suppose I best get on that soon to get the graphics done. However, I have made up my mind as to the card I'm going to CASE of myself. What this means is that I'm going to pick an old card of mine and redo the card using today's trends and styles.

For my Stampin' Up! Updates, all product shares will be up for pre-payment in a few days. I will not have pictures for you until after June 2, when the catalog goes live but I will have a description of what the product shares entail. You will have such a wonderful variety to choose from, all of which are very budget friendly and will keep you supplied for a good part of the year. When I wasn't doing Stampin' Up!, there is not one single time where I went through an entire package of 12 x 12 paper unless I was mass producing something. Other than that, I didn't even get through the ribbon or embellishments. Product shares are the best! I did try one a few years ago and it gave me exactly what I needed without waste and unbelievably budget friendly. It's a no guilt purchase.

I will also have the same product shares for the Holiday Catalog (early fall 2014) and for the Occasions Catalog (spring 2015). We will all be able to get a good jump start on our holiday gifts, tags and wrapping this year and whatever else you have in mind, as Stampin' Up! is releasing the catalog a month early. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter for the latest news on the product shares above, class schedule and much more.

I will keep you posted as to all of our activities for the rest of this year and I know you will will walk away with new knowledge and confidence in yourself. I will work my hard for, fee-based class or not, and you also have life-time access to the site.

Today's CASE is using My Favorite Things everything Damask Designs and coordinating Die-Namics. Honestly, the sketch we were to given with their color palette did not work for this card. My image was all wrong but I was determined to make it work and I think I did. Got the blue going on for my newborn grandson, Aiden Michael, and the pink I suppose goes for me since I'm a diva.

You did not want a video on this, trust me, so I only have my old picture of a previous card and me talking up up a notch or too. I am going to pick a variety of cards and projects this weekend, even winter cards. That should be fun. I know I can do long videos and I'm getting better, but after 4 kids and teaching at a Christian school, I'm just a teacher, teaching my kids and my students. I'm not talking about how to open an ink pad, but the tips, tricks, hints, time savers, techniques, that kind of stuff.

I'm also entering this card into My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 177 (MFTWSC177) and their May Color Palette Challenge too using Berrylicious, Kraft, Pink Lemonade and Sno Cone. Now maybe you will know why this was a bit of a challenge for me. What's even worse, is that I did not get this card entered into the sketch challenge in time, but am still eligible for the palette color challenge. My card is very uniform when I was die-cutting all of my card stock except for the banner. There are no banner pierced Die-Namics, but I'm sure they are in the works somewhere. I could have made my own pierced banner but the time involved of lining my other pierced Die-Namics up was just too time consuming for me right now. I had a freshly opened Versamark ink pad that just really pops in the background. The sketch had one more panel on top of the base but I opted to leave that out (read I already did everything, including the stamping, didn't take a good look at the sketch, wasn't going to let my background stamping go to waste of lining everything up and start all over again).

I do have to monkey around with the settings on my camera as for some reason, I'm getting lousy pictures and even editing cannot sure bad picture taking or whatever is going on because you are not seeing the best or the true beauty my cards have. I will also spend a little time with my dad's "too much for me camera." I did have the view finder working but it's not now for some reason. What I really need to do is put together my light box. I will figure something out one day. It only took 2-1/2 years to figure out how to insert a watermark on my cards.

For this series, I will most likely post in the late afternoon or evening Pacific Standard Time. What's holding me up is building my supply list using InLinkz. I think that is one of the most pain in the butt tedious boring tasks I have ever done in my life besides watching the Teletubbies 24/7 with my kids when they loved me only a way a toddler can.

So, when you are low on mojo or in a creative slump, CASE yourself! It's fun. This is a little picture heavy since I couldn't decide on which one to use.

Thanks for stopping by to visit me and God bless you.
