Easter Card Using Spectrum Noir Markers, Grandma Series #5

Hi there friends. This is a 55-minute long video and I'm not even bothering to justify myself anymore. It's late, I want some ice cream and I am tired. For a card like this, it should have been 10 minutes, but not for me. I did edit out about 25 minutes as well. Can you believe that. So, when I come across super long videos, I craft and kind of watch them at the same time. If something gets my attention, then I will stop what I'm going, rewind the video a bit and watch what caught my eye. This is one of those videos.

This card is one of my grandson's first Easter cards. I have this one, which is more on the serious side as to what we are really celebrating and that Easter is not all about the eggs — and I say this with an egg wreath on top of the card – okayyyy.

I am hoping to give my grandson all of his gifts and cards one day in person so you pray about that please. Since I'm running behind, I am making his Easter basket tomorrow. I don't think he will mind too much considering he's still incubating, but this time next year, look out! He will be all about the chocolate since he will be walking, talking and know what the good stuff is and if I'm blessed, Grammy will be letting him know. I was thinking about what kind of grandmother I am going to be. I won't be one of those who teach him bad habits but I will talk to him a lot about Jesus and how God created everything. I picture us in his back yard with a butterfly landing on him  and he thinks it's fascinating. First I will have to prevent him from pulling the wings off then we catch him or if he just lands, we will get into how God created everything. I won't buy him obnoxious toys that will drive his parents insane, well maybe 1-2. But, I will be one of those Grammy's that if he has a blowout diaper, I will hand him to the nearest parent unless I'm babysitting. When my kids were growing up in diapers and it was summertime, a blowout diaper was no big deal. You just took it off, stuffed it into a Wegmans bag and hosed the kid down. My kids had many hose baths for fun so I didn't have to do 3 tub baths at night since my youngest 3 were all born within 5 years after 30 and two of them are less than 2 years apart. I would bring the soap and shampoo out for them and even with a stack of towels.

So, here's the card I made. No supply list as I mention it in the video and it's easy enough to figure it out. I'm also trying to do that Inlinkz tool that shows the picture and where to get it but I refuse to refer anybody to Simon Says Stamp and I've found a way to work around that to a store where you will pay half price for your crafting needs. Be ready to pick up your Tim Holtz Distress Inks for $2.17. Sound good? I thought so.

Here is today's video and be sure to stop back by tomorrow to see if I can actually put together my grandson's first Easter basket! Thank you for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you!
