Grandma Card #3, Let’s Go to New York!

Hi friends. This is not a traditional grandma card. It's a bit on on the funky side, like me. I really went out of the box with this one and I even have another idea for the same card changing around a thing or two so I can put some beautiful Enchanted Evening Saddlestick Ribbon on the left side.

I know you will love the inside and the outside. I had made a very long video, what else is new, on making this entire card just talking away about my thoughts and feelings and really being myself for once on a video, seriously, but I uplugged too early and due to how I set up my camcorder, I lost over half of it. Bottom line, I talk a lot and everybody I know enjoys it, but my family, so I don't think the rest of the world is wrong or lying to me. They are just not interested in knowing me. If you listen between the lines, you get to know me. That's how everybody gets to know everybody, the intimate details, the important details, things that matter to you. If you don't listen to those ever so important words, you don't get to know anybody really. I think that people should listen more to others and never forget that everybody has feelings and not to hurt them intentionally. That is just mean and then not even care about it but have some utterly ridicuously reason as to why you don't care about another person (if you even consider them a person with feelings and value) and their feelings. I was just thinking about that today when you do something nice repeatedly for another person and you don't even get the basic courtesy of a thank you. That's a pretty clear indication of what that person thinks about you, even if they do, but it sends a very loud and clear message to me that I have no value and the time you took to do something for me doesn't mean anything to me. I just don't understand wny somebody can't say a simple and sincere "thank you" from the heart. I don't think you should have to ask somebody to be polite and say "thank you" to you. I think the worst is telling somebody that you love them, wait for them to say it back to you, and then you finally have to ask them to tell you that they love you. Just in typing out the above, it made me scowl and shake my head as to how people can really act like that. I can't wrap myself around it and even try to comprehend that because it's just awful.

I made this fun and loving card for my precious grandson. When he is born, I would give my right arm to hear his first cry, even is it's recorded. I want to be a part of those first moments of a new life, the new life of my grandson.

I hope you enjoy this great card and I will put up all of the other stuff in the morning and maybe even get some better pictures because these are awful and doesn't do my grandson's card any justice at all, but in person, this is a very cool card. I changed out the pictures from yesterday and took new ones today outside in the beautiful over 80 degree weather we are having. I love this! These new pictures are just lovely and really show off the card.

I am very happy with how this card turned out and I think it's very cool. To get the color variation on the map and the world image, I used Dew Drop size inks which is the best way to go when inking up an image like this with various hues of one color rather than with a full-size ink pad. You will not get the same effect at all.

Thank you for stopping by to visit me and God bless you.  Enjoy!
