Hi friends. Welcome to the North Coast Creations November 2013 Release! I am so happy that you are joining us today. We will be choosing 2 winners who will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store for stamps just for commenting on our Design Team projects. You have until November 17, 2013 at 10 pm EST to make a comment on each of our designer's blog posts. Our 2 random winnders will be announced on the North Coast Creations Blog on November 18, 2013. Look below for a full release of our new stamps! Be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team to see the projects that they have made for you.

This release is so much fun! I couldn't wait to open up that package since I knew was what inside. We have 2 releases this month that can be used throughout the entire year! With some simple masking, on the puppy stamp, appropriately name Santa Paws, you can easily mask off the branch and ornament (or just selectively stamp your chosen color) and give it to a new puppy owner (such as myself, which is why I'm so over the moon happy about this – it couldn't have come at a better time!). You can change your sentiment to anything using the North Coast Creations line of stamps or the Our Daily Bread Designs line of stamps. The possibilities are truly endless!

Below are the direct links to the Design Team's projects for this release and don't forget to leave a comment!

I am proud to introduce to you Santa Paws and Santa Claws! I think the names of the stamps are hilarious and fit fabuously.

Santa Claws

Santa Paws

My first project for you showcases the new Santa Paws stamp set. I was going to color in the puppy so that they are the same colors as my Bella, who is a black and tan Dachshund who is almost 3 months old. I decided to go really clean and simple on this card and it's a bit on the masculine side. The base of my card is black layered with cream card stock and the top is kraft. This is a side-folding card and each layer is 3/8" apart. I adhered my kraft image panel to my cream card stock, colored the bow a bright red and left the rest black. I adhered a length of 5/8" red gingham ribbon to the left side of the card. I took another small piece of red gingham ribbon and tied it into a knot a bit towards the top left of the card and did a "cheater's knot." I then took a red button and tied a piece of red and white Baker's Twine that I had slipped under the gingham knot and threaded it up through my 2-holed button and tied that into a knot. I slipped a glue dot under the red gingham knot and between the holes of the button to keep everything secure. I snipped the ribbon and Baker's Twine with my scissors and then stamped my sentiment between my image and ribbon. The image was stamped using black dye ink and the bow was colored with a red alcohol marker. It all ties in together very well and I'm having a hard time resisting grabbing a red glitter pen and adding a little coloring/shading to the ornament and ribbon around the dog. I put foam tape on the back of the cream panel and adhered it to the black card stock base.

Here is my Santa Paws card. What do you think? I really like how this card turned out. If I have time, I want to make another puppy card as I have a very fun idea that could make the puppy look like a Dachshund. If you would like a video on this card, just let me know and I can make one really fast. Here is my Santa Paws card and a matching tag! I plan on going to the craft store or you can even use a paper bag from the grocery store to stamp on the kraft paper the ornament and pine using a little bit of red on the ornament on the wrapping paper for a beautiful coordinating gift wrap, card and tag. That would so fun to do. On the 5th of each month, we have a Release in Review Group Post for the previous month's release and in this case, it would be for this release, November. My entire ensemble will be revealed at that time, on December 5, 2013. Be sure to come back to visit me on that day.

Now onto my coordinating tag shown above. I used a #8 kraft tag and stamped the puppy from Santa Paws. I masked off the ornament and pine then colored the puppy's bow exactly how I did in the card above. I used the red gingham ribbon, twine and button through the hole at the top of the tag and put it all together. What do you think? Above are some pictures of my tag and the so far ensemble that I have going on.

I have one more project for you that will be posted on December 5, 2013 for our November Release in Review Group Post. My December 5 project will complete the ensemble. It's a great surprise!

For my next card, I will be using the new Santa Claws stamp set! Is this an adorable kitty or what?! I had fun coloring him. This is a 5 x 5 card and I usually don't make cards that size, but the kitty is large. I used Spectrum Noir alcohol-based markers to color him in with a lot of glitter accents using a glitter pen. I did a lot of die-cutting with various Spellbinders Nestabilities. A fun touch was to emboss dots onto the white card stock on the square panel to tie in the dots on the present. I have 2 banners, one in each direction, so this card is very well put together. My pattern paper is something your maybe haven't seen before. It's the brand new Our Daily Bread Designs Christmas Paper Collection 2013 for under $5.00! The patterned paper is beautifully designed to coordinate with over a dozen of the Our Daily Bread Designs line of stamps, which are listed on the packaging; but as you can see, I used a North Coast Creations stamp on this paper and it coordinated perfectly too!

Here is my card from the Santa Claws stamp set!
