Hi craty friends! Thank you so much for stopping bby to visit me today. Myself and the rest of the design team at North Coast Creations are takig a look back at our October Release 2013 release and I have a very fun home decor gift that's easy to make.

Without further ado, I am presenting to you my project. I made this using the Joy stamp set. On a very windy day in Chico, California, when it was just 77 degrees yesterday (I so love this weather, I could have laid out on the pool if I wanted too!), I would have to do a home decor project that included spray adhestive. I love spray adhesive, however, my gel nails do not. For my release projects, I used Warmest Wishes and Let It Snow.

I picked up my large snowflakes at Kirkland's (another home decor store that I love and the manager and I are on a first name basis), and I sprayed my snowflakes with spray adhesive and then dumped mica flakes on the snowflakes. I'm sure my neighbors will love me for this one but their yards will have a beautiful shimmer and sparkle to them. BUT, before that, I die-cut 3 scallopes from the Our Daily Bread Designs Recipe and Tag Dies that is exclusive to Our Daily Bread Designs by Spellbinders, onto red glitter paper. I recommend running it through your die-cutting machine a few times as glitter card stock is always thick and use a steel plate to get a crisp cut. When I have to run something through my die-cutting machine that is cutting thick paper, I change my sandwich all around so it gets cuts a few ways. For this, I used the Vagabond and a steel plate that I purchased from Our Daily Bread Designs a few years ago. This was pretty easy to make.

I got my snowflakes at Kirkland's, sprayed it with spray adhesive; prepped it beforehand by die-cuttng 3 scallops as mentioned above, cut some patterned paper into a banner then adhered it to the glitter card stock (glue dots usually work the best) and used the smaller circle in the above-named die-cut set and adhered a few foam squares on top of the banner to place the circle on, then I stamped the Joy stamp onto more patterned paper and totally painstakingly fussy cut out the words and colored them in with a Sakura Red Glitter Pen. If you notice the circle paper beneath the JOY letters that I cut out, the circles are all cut in the same pattern which is also included in the Our Daily Bread Designs Recipe and Tag Dies

Here is my home decor project that I made for you. The snowflakes are supposed to light up, but of course, I flipped the switch and nothing. I did try fiddling with something that looked like I could take off to see if it needed an off the wall battery or something, but no luck. This really would have been very pretty lit up. I hope that you enjoy this project. Thank you for stopping by today to visit me and God bless you!

Don't forget to check out our new release on Novemb er 15! I got a sneak peek and am so itching to get these in the mail so I can get to work on my projects! I'm so glad that I was graciously given the entire release so I didn't have to choose!

I also want to let you know that in the upper right corner, there's an icon to where you can automatically pin my cards to your Pinterst Boards! Give it a try!

BibleStudies

Make today count and do a random act of kindness and bless somebody. Read a Women's Daily Devotional or any type of Devotional. I have 2 on my nightstand of Trusting God Day by Day by Joyce Meyer and Daily Devotions for Women by Jewell Johnson. Both are wonderful and I picked them up at my local Christian store; however, I will link you directly to Amazon and show you pictures. I also like to write in my Bible and other learning materials. You should see my 15-year-old Bible that I keep close to me at all times. I like to date my notes as it shows me where I was spiritually then until now when I read what I wrote. This helps me to reevaluate my spiritual condition and walk with the Lord. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad and something that I need to work on with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Trusting God Day by Day Daily Devotions for WomenNow for one silly prayer request, and I have thousands of them, but being able to find my iPad Mini would be nice. It's one of those with cellular capabilities and I love it. I absolutely have no idea where this could have disappeared to!

I will see you the next time around. I hope that you enjoyed this post.

Hugs and blessings to all of you!

  1. Dear Cindy, I just love the wonderful attention to detail you have! Beautiful snowflakes, and may we all find Joy in the Saviour Christ Jesus the Lord!  Praying you also find your mini…I'm sure it'll turn up soon!
