Hi friends. Today I wanted to make a fun Halloween card so I did. I used Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 458 (SC458) for my sketch and went to work. I was hoping to get this card posted at SCS yesterday for more exposure, but I've been setting hours for myself and just slowing down a bit. More importantly, I'm really trying to organize this craft room to finish out my Organize It! series.
This was an all day card since I had so much to do in between making it. My 2-1/2" Stampin' Up! circle punch is up at my dad's (I think) and that's what I really wanted to use on my focal point circle center since it's a real 2-1/2" and would have caught the borders of the circle that I embossed to put my witch on. I'm pretty bummed about that, so I just ink distressed the outside of it to do something with it. I also ink distressed the borders of the spider web behind my focal point. Remember, the sentiment doesn't always have to be on the outside!
For my die-cut witch, totally lazy. I grabbed a square of Smokey Shadow card stock, put some Scor-Tape on it, then ran it through the Vagabond a few different times and ways to get a clean cut with a metal shim. I sprinkled Stampin' Up! black glitter over the witch and voila! A card is born. I hope you enjoy this!
