Hi friends. I think my title line pretty much says it all! What an insanely crazy busy 6 weeks this has been! And it's a time period I never want to go through again, ever. In reality, this is the worst year I've ever had in my life! I would like to thank all of you for your cards, flowers, phone calls and support during this very difficult time for me. I've had a lot of personal losses this year and didn't imagine that any of them would happen, but they did. I'm just so blessed that daddy died peacefully in his sleep. That's all he wanted.
I just got back from Kansas a few days ago and started to organize this disasterous office of mine since it's driving me nuts! I do have an online class of ORGANIZE IT! from September 30 – October 4. I had to change the dates of this class for obvious reasons, and the emails and inquiries as to when I'm teaching this have been great so I can really tell that you're excited to sign up! I just put in the request to have my graphics change and then off to the class website developer, then you can sign up. I will keep you posted. As usual, you don't want to miss this class and I'm really looking forward to seeing you!
For today's card, even though I should be doing my Faith on Friday series, I decided to play along in Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 237 (FTTC237) to dry emboss. On the inside of the card, however, that is where my Faith on Friday comes into play since I will be using scripture.
You know when you have this perfect card made and when you add the last stamp to it, there's a mark on the block? That's what happened with the Marina Mist ink on my image panel. I hate it when that happens! But, for a no embellishment card, it turned out balanced. If you look closely, I did dry emboss my top panel with the Cloudy Day embossing folder (retired that I had to dig out of a Rubbermaid in my garage and so happy I found the Spider Web embossing folder too!), since the challenge calls for embossing. Even without using the embossing folder, my squares fit the challenge since they're embossed on the sides but that's a bit lame 🙂
I have no video for you today, but maybe tomorrow when I participate in another challenge. Enjoy!
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you.
PS: There's a cute little bonus Halloween card for you too! I made this with the Gina K. Designs Spooktacular You! stamp set and patterned paper. I do wish I had glittered up the witch.
Proverbs 30:21-23.
I just adore your rainy day card! I like to think of it as showers of blessings….May the Lord pour blessings on you today!
So sorry for your loss, Cindy. It is a blessing when it is peacefully in their sleep.
I love both your cards! I especially love the popped clouds and the rain to the side on the first one! Thanks for joining in the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge this week! Blessings! Kathy
Love both cards!!! Thanks so much for playing along with Flourishes Timeless Tuesdays!
