Just an Update

Hi friends! I'm still around. It's been a very few past difficult weeks. I had a terrible lupus flare that actually landed me in the hospital for a short period, which was a first. It was just awful! On Monday, I have 3 back-to-back MRIs of both hips and my back and I know this isn't going to go over very well with those body parts since I have to lie flat and perfectly still on a hard table for 45 minutes per MRI. They will definitely be screaming after that so I have a bad feeling that Monday and Tuesday are going to be "down days." Just keep me in your prayers. I don't let things get me down too often. Life is just too short so I live every day to the fullest as possible.

I am on the mend now with some work being done to my back and hips so that put me on the OR table 3 times in 8 days. I also had to finish up my Just Cards! class and am now working on my Let's Color! class for later this month. I'll have more information on that for you tomorrow as I'm anticipating registration to start on Monday and hopefully my developers are working on the site now to get it all ready for you. 

I'm also hoping to get my regular weekly series and challenges up to speed. I'm finally submitting to magazines again after a hiatus and am happy to report that I have a lot of new cards and projects for you coming up in several different industry magazines starting Spring 2014. I'm a little bummed I missed the Christmas season as it's always so much fun creating for that; however, I think I will maybe even start for next year and get my personal gift tags and gifts done on time for once!

Right now, I'm coloring a beautiful card for you from the new Flourishes Stamps July release using the Dahlias stamp set. Love it. The flowers are gorgeous and I'm coloring the dahlias a mean red right now and enjoying every single second. Coloring is so therapeutic. I still like to color even though I'm 49 + 1 years old. I'll be using this for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC228, use acetate on your project) that closes in 2 days. Later this month, I will also have a Flourishes 10-Minute Creation video for you too.
