Just Cards! Preview, Oh Happy Day, QFTD169, Avery Elle Product Review

JustCardsGraphic

Hello my friends. Today I'm making another clean and simple card for you participating in the Queen for the Day 169 (QFTD169) challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. Diane's gallery is a new one for me so I had a lot of fun looking through it. I eventually settled on her IC387 Celebrate card and made my Oh Happy Day card. I used an Avery Elle stamp set called Bonjour and I have to be honest with you; I don't even know what the image is that I used. Since the stamp set has a French name to it, I'm guessing some kind of pastry but to me, it looks like a hamburger.

I will say that this is the first time I've made a card using a lot of Avery Elle products. Their card stock is nice and sturdy, their grosgrain ribbon has good texture and weight, and their die-cuts are fabulous. I love the kind of die-cuts where you stamp your image first and then die-cut. It just makes life easier. Overall, I'm very impressed with the Avery Elle line of products.

In keeping with CASEing Diane's card, I kept the trio of images, changed the colors and added some ribbon. I lightly embossed the main image panel using an impression plate.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and registration is open for the Just Cards! class starting on Monday that you don't want to miss. I hope to see you in class. Have a great day and God bless you!
