Hi friends. I'm back again with another card for you introducing the new Princess stamp set as part of the March 2013 release for Inspired by Stamping. This sure is adorable and cute. I don't do cute as you know, but I can do this. I thought I'd get a little weird on this and use chevron as my patterned paper and I also dry embossed my frame with the same pattern. I cut the castle out onto pink card stock using the free Silhouette die-cuts that are free with all of Inspired by Stamping stamp sets, whether you purchase them or not. Every single image in any stamp set has a cut file. Super convenient. I've found that when I click the "cut twice" button, I always get better results and use 80 pound weight card stock too, as well as keeping your blade sharp.
I went out of my clean and simple box for my card but stayed with a fairly monochromatic color scheme of dark and light pinks. I did some machine stitching to adhere the chevron patterned paper to my white card stock. After cutting my pink card stock with the castle cut file, I then spritzed it with some clear mist shine to give it a glow. I selectively colored in parts of my castle with a pink marker and used pink glitter glue too, so it's all girlied up. I put foam tape on the back of my image and adhered it to the chevron dry embossed panel. I wrapped a small piece of Victorian Rose Satin Ribbon around the bottom third of the card and then adhered my image panel to the main chevron panel. I tied the Victorian Rose Satin Ribbon into a double bow and adhered a Bright Pink Flower to the center of the knot. I then went through my tremendous stash of stick pins and found two that I thought would compliment the card nicely. I stamped my sentiment onto textured light pink card stock with dark pink ink, punched it out with an oval punch and then lightly inked the edges. I tucked the sentiment panel up under the bow using foam dots and then adhered three rhinestones to the corner. I have my usual dimension on this card. I'm really happy with how my castle turned out.
