Inspired By Stamping Challenge 47 (IBSIC47) Balloons

Hi friends. Today is the Inspired By Stamping Challenge 47 (IBSIC47) that Deb Hickman and I are doing together.

The colors really took me out of my box and this was one of those take 3 days to make the card and we all know what happens when I do that with a card or video, my mojo goes poof and I lose my concentration.

For my sentiment panel, I used vellum card stock. There's a big difference between vellum card stock and vellum paper. While both serve their purpose depending on what you want to use on your card or project, I am partial to vellum card stock. You can do more with it, it's not as fragile as the paper, yet you still get the same benefits and look. Vellum is not something I use on a regular basis. I used alcohol-based markers to color inside the balloons after I stamped them.

We would love to have you join us for our challenge today and don't forget to visit Joanna's blog daily to keep up with all of the great projects that she posts by herself and my design team colleagues. They are all just wonderful and of course, there's also some very generous prizes! You do not want to miss out on the March release with the countdown starting on March 2. There will be daily prizes for simply leaving a comment. We have a fabulous release that is in my hot little hands that you will love as much as I do.

The more I work with Inspired by Stamping stamps, I've come to realize that they are the Australian Papertrey Ink. The images are so classic and since I can't do cute, they are perfect for me. The price points are totally affordable and the monthly releases will not break the bank. Not only that, Joanna provides you with Silhouette cut files and they are all free! I save a lot of money without having to purchase dies and I love how I can alter images with my Silhouette Cameo. There are die-cuts available too for more design options. There's always a discount if you purchase the entire release and the release itself is not so overwhelming that you can afford the entire release every month. I am very honored to be a senior designer for Inspired by Stamping. Another great point is that I actually get my stamps a lot faster, even though the company is in Australia. The entire line of stamps builds upon itself while introducing new product and also coordinates with Spellbinders. We have a fabulous year planned for you!

For my card below, I used Heartfelt Greetings and The Sky's the Limit

Satin or seam binding of your choice.

Here is my card that I'd like to share with you. I actually like the inside better than the outside so I'm showing you both. For the inside, I do wish that I had cut the balloon that's over the cloud and put it up on foam tape for dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you.

  1. Do you remember that song when we were kids, that went…"Up, up and away in my beautiful, my beautiful ballloooonnnnnnnn". I was thinking of that when I saw this lovely card, so well done!

  2. So fun, I love hot air balloons, we try to always find a hot air balloon rally to got to over the summer. Your card makes me smile on a  my blue day.  TFS
