Hi friends. Today I have two cards to share with you using the brand new Iris and Circle stamp sets that will be available for you at the Inspired by Stamping store on March 10 at 4 a.m. EST. This is an especially exciting release as many of the new images coordinate with last month's brand new die set of Fancy Labels 1. Before we get to the really good stuff (like what I created for you and my fellow design team members), we will have FREE shipping for all orders over $25. Considering the company is Australia, you are saving a bundle! No code is required. All 6 brand new stamp sets will be offered as a bundle for a 10% discount. If you would like some BLOG CANDY, leave a comment on Joanna's blog for a chance to win. We will have a winner on each day of the release that the design team is showing you. Each winner will receive 2 stamp sets from the store of their choice. Be sure to check out Joanna's blog for all of the sneak peeks!
My first card showcases Iris and Circles stamp sets. This card is dolled up big time using some beautiful Victorian Crochet Trim from the store. See the fun jute twist cord that I tied my circle sentiment with? Joanna uses that to tie together the ribbon that you purchase from the store so I repurposed it! Nothing goes to waste around here.
Now onto the previews!
My card is a wonderful, almost fall-like card, but with the bright card stock, flowers and butterfly, it's a lovely spring card. Please see below photos and details, including a full supply list. Be sure to read all the way through this post to see both of my cards and links to my design team colleagues cards/projects highlighting for you various stamp sets from the March release.
Experiment with card stock colors and embossing powder color.
Use a different color when emboss resisting the image. I used Dried Marigold Distress Ink with Calypso Coral card stock. Try a color that isn't a close match.
Double emboss the flower, i.e, use green embossing powder for the stems and yellow, purple. light blue or another color for the flowers.
My second card is my favorite. The beautiful Iris can be used for any occasion and with our wide array of sentiments, I love how all of the stamp sets build upon themselves affording you endless possibilities! I used the same sentiment of Hope Happens from the Iris stamp set. I colored in my image with alcohol-based markers, but with a sharp colored pencil and odorless mineral spirits, this would be beautiful too. This card is very clean and simple and I love the way it turned out. Now onto my card!
Color the inside of the iris first (the yellow part) and work around that.
Irises are different colors so experiment!
My intricate die-cut really lends itself to adding elegance to my card.
I am not really an 'orange' person except at Halloween time, but I am really drawn to your first card. It is eye-catching. btw, I have been saving my jute strings and now I know what I can do with them 🙂
Love the irises and elegant frame.
These are both wonderful Cindy! Love the wonderful colour and the lace ribbon and stamps!
Your cards are sooo pretty Cindy! I love them both so much! Lots of hugs, Joanna
fantastic projects! Love the use of stamps in both card.
