Three Stockings for PPA148 and PCCCS019

Hi friends. This is my LAST Christmas card. I have some projects I'm working on, like about a hundred at a time, which is never a good idea, but I have serious Christmas card burnout. I might sneak in a few more but that's only if I really want to but these are made for two challenges for fun and the rest would be for fun too.

I've heard about the Pals Paper Arts Challenge that my friend Mary Fish has spearheaded for years now but never played in it so I thought that I would give it a try. I needed a good sketch so I went to the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge; who also combined the sketch with a color challenge but I used the colors from Pals Paper Arts Challenge 148 (PPA148) since that is a color challenge – clear as mud?

The colors for Pals Paper Arts are Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. I had to resort to the Regals Designer Series Pattern Pack for my designer paper as that's a color I rarely, if at all use. As always, the sketches at the Paper Craft Crew (PCCCS019) are great and I love this clean sketch which made this card easy to make with a color that is not a go-to color for me. Pam Staples is a dear friend of mine and owns that challenge blog that has so much to offer any paper crafter.

Most of the products used are from the Holiday Catalog, but of course, I also added in some products from the new Spring 2013 Catalog too! I will be focusing on using Sale-A-Bration and the Spring 2013 Catalog products a lot, all of which are available for you to purchase on January 3, 2013, and I will also be using these products in my Season of Love online card class. Have you signed up yet! This is strictly a work from your stash card class where I will show you new techniques, some very cool cards and projects to make, and different ways of using embellishments. You can read all about the fun here. You can sign up either on the right side of my blog or go directly to this page link. I am very excited at how many participants that I have so far and thank you so much!

Now I would like to show you my card! The new products that I used are the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack and the new Ovals Collection Framelits. You're going to love them! You're going to love every single new product in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure and the 2013 Spring Catalog! I know I do and the benefit of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that I get these fabulous new toys a month in advance so I can play with them! How cool is that?

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and be sure to stop back by within the next few days because I have an awesome winter card to demonstrate to you with a video! The colors are so non-traditional. It's awesome! Have a great day and God bless you. All products used are Stampin' Up! and you can order them 24/7 from my online store, which is also a great place to look for specials and promotions too!

  1. What a lovely card! I just love the combination of the tulle and the sweater trim, how cute. The stockings are perfect cut out with the Oval Framelits. Thanks so much for joining us at the PPA this week.
