Winter Pastel Snowflakes, Day 12 of The 12 Days of Christmas Series 2012

Hi again and welcome to my final and 12th day of my annual 12 Days of Christmas Series for 2012! Honestly, I have to read back to see what the prize is for those who have commented, so that news will be up soon. Thank you for sticking it out with me during the move and everything else.

Today I have a very non-traditional color card to share with you that I just love using die-cuts as your focal point. With everything on the market, it's so easy to do, especially when you use different sizes so that you can run them through your die-cutting machine all at once.

This card is also for my design team work at the Clean and Simple Stamping Blog (Fall to Layout, FTL215). We have a great sketch over there this week, like we always do. As you may or may not know, I've resigned from my Stampin' Up! design teams except for the Creative Crew at Splitcoast Stampers as I only have one more month left and 4 projects that I can do at leisure. I overextended myself and didn't respect my boundaries, which is something that I never do and with this move, numerous OR table fun, it became very overwhelming. This challenge is more of an at-will challenge for the design team members which is a perfect fit for me right now. I've been on this team for years and really enjoy it, as I did all of my design team work, but sometimes too much is just too much. I'm taking a break from it all until February 1, 2013, and then I'll wing it. I want to get unpacked, the holidays are coming, and I have a lot on my plate too.

Now, back to my card. I really wasn't too sure about this Limeade Ice color from Papertrey Ink. It seemed a bit too funky and on the neon side and loud. I'm still on the fence over it but thought that I would give it a try this morning to make this fun winter pastel snowflakes card and I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think? It took less than 10 minutes to put together and this includes the inside and decorating up the envelope. I am so bad about not doing the inside of my card or envelope while I'm making the card so I have like 50 sitting in a basket that I need to complete which will end up taking me an entire afternoon with a lot of mess and hunting when I should have just gotten it over with!

I do hope that you enjoy this card and that it provides you with some inspiration. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you!

  1. I like the neon background, especially with the added rhinestones.  What a nice way to end your fantastic series.
