ODBDSLC125 Faith on Friday

Hi friends. I'm resuming my Faith on Friday series where I make a card based off of my faith. My jumping off point for these cards and projects is Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge. This week's challenge, ODBDSLC125, is to use fall colors and a Bible verse. I used unconventional fall colors and my scripture is based off of 2 Corinthians 9:15. I love the sketch that I used. It just really brought this card together. I have not colored in a very long time so I really enjoyed making this card for you. As I stated earlier this week, this house is coming together somewhat. I'm just waiting on some furniture delivery for two of my kids and one critical piece of storage for my new craft room and then I'll be done! After that is hanging up pictures, so I can hardly wait to really feel like I'm moved in. My new house is already home to be so I love the peace and serenity here. Once I have my new studio organized, I'll be sharing that with you. I've learned to let go of a lot of stuff considering 1-1/2 years ago, I was living in a 5000 sf house and now my house is 1900 sf. That's a BIG change!

Back to my card, I love the colors that I used all across the board on the card stock and how I colored my image. My sentiment tag is also a bit unconventional as I used a Stampin' Up! 2 x 1-3/8 oval-shaped punch and cut the sides off as it was dead space. I wanted to keep the top and bottom of the tag rounded for added interest.

I'm still learning how to use this Mac but decided that I don't have time for the learning curve right now so I purchased this software called Parallels where you can use your Mac as both a Windows PC and Mac. Talk about getting the best of both worlds! I also had to purchase an external CD drive as I do get the CDs for My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! I just don't have the time to transfer everything from the PC to the Mac or the 2-3 days to leave it all at the computer store to do it for me so I am cheating big time. Thank you so much for your patience as I'm barely getting by with my assignments and as far as publications go – forget it. I haven't submitted a thing for the last several calls and it's going to hurt. I don't think I'll be in a magazine again until Summer 2013 but sometimes life just gets in the way. I do have a very strong fall and winter season being featured in every single industry magazine, which is pretty cool, so I need to update that resume and get the covers on my sidebar! I will share with you those cards/projects when I can.

Soooo, thank you for listening to me jabber and here is my card that I would like to share with you. I hope that you are inspired and I think Thanks Be to God says it all!

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless you!
