Faith on Friday, Prayer Tags, ODBDSLC121

Hi friends and a very happy Friday to you. I have a ton of series going on, not really, but my 12 Days of Christmas is almost halfway complete, my September Club Membership is coming along quite nicely; however, I've decided to do something new every Friday. Our Daily Bread Designs is a Christian stamp company who has Christian images and all scripture stamps. I love to play in their Shining the Light Challenge weekly or as much as possible, along with their other challenges because paper crafting is a God-given talent and you must use it to glorify Him and bless others. While I am very handcuffed by the Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator Agreement, I will not deny my faith.

This week's Shining the Light Challenge (ODBDSLC121) theme is to use stitching. I was honored to be recognized for participating in this challenge for the past two weeks having my project picked as a winner so I will be displaying the badge on my blog. The Bible clearly states in Matthew 10:33 that we are not deny Jesus before men so I'm not going there. You might think it's just a stamp company and a challenge, but also plants a seed for those who stop by.

For my projects, I decided to make tags! They were so fun and I did what I like to call "rustic glam." I used some of my favorite stamp sets of Crocheted Background, Pincushion Tag Set, Spool Tag Set, and Weave in Faith. Since these stamp sets have a sewing theme to them, it works, and I didn't even do any actual sewing on the tags! I debated on it but decided to just make them and have fun. My tags all have sewing type of elements on them, such as a sweater-type of braided ribbon, pins, twine, stitched ribbon, buttons, and adorable baubles. On the tag with the scissors, if you look closely, there's a teeny tiny brad in the middle of scissors adding a very realistic touch. Adding the Crocheted Background stamp to my tags adds a beautiful and unexpected lacy element to the Kraft card stock.

I hope that you enjoy these prayer tags and pray that you have a wonderful and blessed Labor Day weekend. Today's Treasure, of course: Matthew 10:33.
