Hi friends. In the 4+ years I've been a paper crafter, I have never, ever made one thing for myself. Not. One. Thing. Today, I made something. It's a scrapbook page all about me. I received this great stamp set, I Am, at the Stampin' Up! Convention as that was the theme. I have some serious, but positive life changes going on and this reflects how I feel about myself right now. I used to scrapbook in the mid 90s in the old Creative Memories Days but then got busy with life and stopped. I then discovered card making in 2008 or so and haven't looked back so I'm not really a scrapbooker, but I'm not going to apologize for this page as I'm not out to impress with this project.
I knew exactly what I wanted to do with image panels, which I love, using 3 different alphabet stamp sets. I think this lends such much to the scrapbook page as far as texture. I stamped my sentiment panels in Basic Black ink and then heat embossed it with clear powder. I actually used a great die-cut of the Bigz Two Tags and it worked out perfectly. I then printed out a picture of myself and matted it to Rich Razzleberry card stock and used a Scallop Trim Punch on the bottom. I distressed the edges and built up my flower using two 5-Petal Punches and a 3/4" Circle Punch for the center adorned with a Designer Vintage Facet Button with some Linen Thread tied through it into a bow. The flower was built up with Stampin' Dimensionals and the entire page was ink distressed with a Sponge Dauber and Sahara Sand ink. I used Betsy's Blossoms with Tangerine Tango card stock and ink for my background. It's a simple 6 x 6 page that's a personal expression of me.
I hope that you enjoy this scrapbook page and that it gives you some inspiration to do something for yourself. Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today and God bless you!
This is a beautiful page – and just perfect for you! I'm glad you thought to make it for yourself.
Love the use of the die-cut tags for your affirmations. You GO, girl!
