I apologize for the slow blog week. I had to run up to New York quite unexpectedly as my son sustained a pretty serious injury and I wanted to be there for him. He's going to be just fine, but I would appreciate your prayers for his healing and quick recovery. I've driven 2000 miles in 4 days and am a little beat up. I need to catch up at Christian Paper Crafts and at home. My design team work will be up this weekend for you to look at.
God bless and as always, thank you for stopping by.
Welcome to the debut of a unique new challenge called Bring Back Beautiful sponsored by Flourishes Stamps LLC. This challenge was started to showcase the true artistry in cards – cards that really highlight and focus on beautiful stamping. And who else better is there to show you some great stamping than this powerhouse design team?! I honestly have to tell you that I'm very intimidated by the sheer talent of these ladies, as each of them have been published in every single industry magazine numerous times, design stamps for companies, design team coordinators, and Beate is the Creative Director for Splitcoast Stampers. All of their accomplishments render me speechless. These women have inspired thousands in the stamping community with their willingness to help others and their amazing gifts. I am blessed and still stunned being asked to be on the design team of such a one-of-a-kind challenge and to have the privilege of working with these women. Although they need no introduction, here are my fellow Beauty Girls (design team members):
This challenge will be held the first Monday of every month at the Flourishes Blog. As we kick off our Bring Back Beauty Challenge, we focus on one of the things that can evoke a lot of beauty in card making – COLOR! Pick your favorite medium – watercolor, colored pencils, markers, alcohol inks…the sky is the limit! Show off your color and join us! Link up your Bring Back Beautiful Challenge creation at the Flourishes Blog to enter. If you upload to Splitcoast Stampers, please use the keyword BBB01. You have until August 31, 2010, to enter! As we unveil our challenge for September, we'll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! The winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!
Here is my card that I'd like to share with you. Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's beautiful cards!

I am 47 today, so I decided to throw myself a blog party. When I separated myself from the Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog, I had to start all over with Google Followers as I wanted those currently following to stay with the CPC Creative Blog. I have 29 Followers. Please follow me and bring me some more! Today is the 18th and next Friday on June 25, I'll draw a random number from one of my Followers and you can pick out $25 of Stampin' Up! product from the new catalog that's coming out on July 1 from Stamp With Cindy. I decided to bump up the amount a little bit from what the newsletter stated.
Today I am going to play. There's not a cloud in the sky and it's already 90 degrees out so that means pool. I'm going to float around on my Molly Brown for a while and then play some games with the kids in the pool. Then I'm going to get all crafty. Tonight we're going to eat a lot of ice cream and watch a good movie. We eat a lot of ice cream around here.
I just woke up to an in-box full of e-mails, non work related, which is very nice; but I will tell you that there's nothing like waking up to a bag that says "Zales" on it that I'm really not trying to peek into since the kids aren't up yet! And there's a nice 9-1/2 x 6-1/2 card with it too that's sealed up.
I hope that you all have a blessed day and thank you so much for all of the birthday wishes!
I don't have a card to show you today, but do have some very exciting news to share with you! I have been asked to become a part of the Cardabilities Sketch Challenge Design Team! I will be sharing with you sketch challenges the 15th and 30th of every month with my first challenge being shown right here on July 15. Please stop back and see the super summery card that I made for you and play along with us! Now, I would like to introduce you to the rest of the amazing Design Team members!
I will see you back on July 15! God bless!
