Good morning and a very happy Sunday to you. Today at Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges, our verse is Philippians 3:13-14, "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Just as I was typing that verse, it hit me like a ton of bricks. The world says to "forgive and forget," but I don't think that's what the above verses mean. They speak on a spiritual level, as does the rest of the Bible, which is way, way above worldly ways that always get us into trouble. If you fall down spiritually, you repent, and get yourself back up and right with God again and MOVE ON. If you don't truly repent, you'll be like a dog that eats its own vomit. Gross. But that is what we have a tendency to do. Only when you truly repent 100%, you will be able by God's power and strength to press toward the high calling. If we were to be honest with ourselves, most of the time we're only sorry for ourselves for getting caught with our hand in the cookie jar rather than having remorse for grieving the Holy Spirit. Some sins get us and get us good and hold us in bondage as well. You don't want to do something but do it anyway, and I do know what I'm talking about here. Only when I decided to be obedient, and trust me, it wasn't because of me, but of the Holy Spirit working in me and on me, that is when I was able to forget that what was now behind me and reach out and towards my calling. Jesus took away the sins of the world on the cross. His last words on the cross were, "It is finished." If you were to read the events leading up to his death on the cross in his human form, Jesus did not want to do this. He asked the Father in prayer not to have to die on the cross, but he did it out of obedience and his suffering is something we'll never even begin to comprehend. That was Jesus' high calling; to take away my sin and your sin. We all have our own calling in Christ. Do you know what yours is? We are all called to be like Jesus and let our light shine. While we go through different seasons in life and are called to do certain things during those seasons, our main calling is to be like Jesus, the light of the world.

Today's challenge is to make a project that will encourage another or offer an apology to another. I made an encouragement card. My design team sisters and I thank our faithful monthly sponsor of Simon Says Stamp, who is sponsoring our challenge today.

Please share with us what you make for today's challenge and link it back to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge 51. We also encourage you to share with others your work and our challenge. If you upload your project to another online gallery, please use keyword SSCC51 so that we may find it as well and leave you some encouragement.

I also would like to invite you to our First Birthday Party Blog Hop on August 16. Please join us in celebrating! God bless you and have a wonderful day in the Lord.

Oh thank God it's Friday…not that it makes a difference in my work schedule, but it sounded good. Today I made a fairly clean and simple card. While there's layers on it, there is not an over abundance of embellishments, such as ribbon, brads, etc. I had used a stamp that was collecting dust for my background and glitter for my sprinkles, which I never use, and that was my only bling. I love the muted colors I used on this card too and also used some paper that was collecting dust. I am also making another run through my craft room and eBaying. I've got another round coming up this weekend. I'm very good about if I don't use it for 6 months, it goes up for auction. I'm the same way with my closet too. I'd best hurry up and type this so I can go to the pool, float around on my Molly Brown, and sleep.

Some good news that I'd like to share with you is that the Summer 2010 Edition of Christian Paper Crafts is up! I put this together in My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up! It's totally primitive in that my formatting is inconsistent when it comes to how the supplies and instructions are listed. I just ran out of time. I tried to convert it to PDF, which was a nightmare, but then by the grace of God, it all came together. Our Fall Edition will be perfect!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting me today. God bless your weekend.

Hello and happy Wednesday! I am so ready for this week to be over with. It's been a tough one so far. I got the magazine together, albeit 3 weeks late, and I did it using the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio software, which is amazing by the way and even I can do something decent, because I am so totally challenged when it comes to Photoshop or anything like that. I've just never studied or have learned anything about that type of graphic software. I've always farmed that work out. I can write some mean HTML when needed, but anything artsy like that, forget it, which is odd considering I'm a crafter. Anyhow, I can't convert the magazine to a universal software that everybody can read, so that's my next challenge. I had to take a break from it to play for a little while and that's exactly what I'm going to do today, starting with this cute peach card. I made it using Lizzie Anne Designs June Monthly Mix, Hey Sunshine. I've never used their stamps before and think they're pretty adorable. I used the Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday Challenge 62 by Gloria (sketch artist) and Jennipher (sketch hostess). Gloria gave us a very clean and simple layout, which was great considering my complete lack of sleep, and Jennipher's example was just lovely for all of us. What do you think? Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting me today and God bless. Today's Treasure: 2 Corinthians 3:17-18.

Also, I don't know what the deal is with my pictures looking washed out lately because you're really missing out on the vividness of them. I'll have to check into my lighting and see what I can do differently so they look better for you, but they truly are much more colorful than what you've been seeing lately.

Good morning and Happy Tuesday to you! Today is our 5th Tuesday Throwdown Challenge! Whoo hoo! We've had a tremendous response so far to this new challenge and each and every one of us on the design team would like to thank you for your participation. It means so much to us! Today's sponsor is none other than Glitterbabe's Art Shop who offers some terrifically cute and off the wall digital stamps which are really fun. Her digital stamps are not the usual run of the mill stamps, that's for sure. They're fun, fresh, and very funky – just how I like them. Today's challenge is to dry emboss your project. I cheated just a bit in that my paper was already dry embossed. All I had to do was sand it. How cool is that? I chose this little girl digital stamp because she was too adorable. I used a lot of materials that I normally don't use while making this card. I do hope that you like it and please play along with us today. When uploading to your online gallery, please use keyword TTC005. Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you next week with another fabulous Tuesday Throwdown Challenge!

Hi again. I know I'm on craft overload this week but the kids are off at Bible camp and mom has strategically planned a vacation from life at the same time. Imagine that! I found this new challenge called For Fun Challenges while blog hopping around and decided to play. Today's theme was to make a birthday card. I also used the Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday 60 as well. Again, thank you so much for stopping by and I think this is going to be a busy blog week for me!

Oh, next Friday is my birthday so I think I'm going to have a birthday blog bash. Check back for details because I'll have to think on them first. Enjoy!

I am so sorry that I had to pull this one down after only being up for an hour. I submitted it and had an editor contact me almost immediately.

Good afternoon and a happy Saturday to you! My mouth is healing very nicely and I thank you so much for your prayers. I'll be asking for them again in a few weeks when I have the same surgery on the right side.

I will be drawing names for the various prize giveaways I have here, at Christian Paper Crafts, and at Stampin' Up! With Cindy, as I do have to go through the entrants to make sure that the instructions were followed, and that is going to take a little bit of time with three giveaways all ending on the same date.

In the meantime, I wanted to share this card with you that covers six challenges! I think my record was 7 challenges in one card, but I've seen others cover 12 challenges with one card, which never ceases to amaze me. This is a card that should have been made last week as it is very patriotic, but I'm using it to reflect that somebody is a star in the Lord's eyes and how he will strengthen you. I will link the challenges to you below.

I hope and pray that you have a very blessed day. Today's Treasure: Ecclesiastes 12:9-14. Guard your ears against false prophets.
