BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP WINNER IS JANARIA! Congratulations girlfriend! Send me an e-mail (you know where to find me), so that I can get your stamp sets out to you! Thank you all so very much who participated and for your very kind comments too. I am so blessed to be amongst ALL of you!
For today's Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges, I'm the hostess and this is the first time that I've done this. Instead of reading what I wrote here, I'd like you to go to Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges 53 and the verse we're focusing on today is Psalm 56:3. That verse has been on my heart lately, a lot lately, like thinking about it all the time lately; "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." We have to do our write-ups a few weeks in advance to give the design team time to pray on what they're going to do for the challenge. Since I've done my write-up, Pete's contract has ended and he's now working and living halfway across the United States. I'm glad that contract is up, but there's a few more in the works. There's one here or a chance to go back to New York in 11 months. Do you know how excited I am and get just thinking about that?! It can't come soon enough. Then again, I love my house and the weather here. I know those are small things, but they're important to me. I don't know what to do or think. I'm all over the place. So I still need to trust in the Lord to see where he will take us, if he takes us anywhere, and it will be for a reason. He knows how I feel about dropping my kids off all over the country. My daughter will be 19 by the time New York rolls around and she's been mandated to come with us. She told me, "I'm ready to go home, mom." BUT, what we're thinking about is that New York is the same home. Things have changed, people have moved elsewhere, the school scaled back to K-5, a lot has changed, yet we're expecting time to have stood still for us. That hit me the most the first 1-2 times I went back and I didn't like it at all. If I adapted once, I can adapt again. Familiar faces are so important to me too seeing them and having a history with my friends that I don't have here at all. Please keep this in prayer for me. Confusion is not of the Lord and I need direction. Also with Pete's contract ending, we got hit with a $32,000 cut in pay annually. Ouch. I won't be purchasing anything whatsoever and am really cracking down on funds and doing a lot of eBaying. I don't need the newest, latest, and greatest of something that's going to be popular for a month. If you truly think about it, it's a bit on the insane side. God will stretch our budget and increase my gift to glorify him. I'm not so afraid anymore. It's just changed to confused and a lack of direction, so I'm redirecting my prayers asking for clear direction and I also covet your prayers as well.
For today's challenge, you can either just focus on the verse of Psalm 56:3 or recall a "Jesus and me" moment when he revealed himself to you. It's more of a personal challenge that maybe only you can understand, but my purpose for this is for you not to forget what the Lord has done for you in your life and how you've drawn closer to him.
As expected, my card is about moving. It's very clean and simple, and that's the way that I wanted it for today. We all thank you for participating in our challenges and would also like to thank Sassy Studio Designs for sponsoring us today. God bless you and I'll see you next Sunday with another awesome challenge to use our gift to glorify the Lord and spread the gospel. Be sure to check out what my design sisters did for this challenge too! They'd love to hear your comments. God bless.

Wow. What a week this has been. I don't even know when I made this card or what it's for, but I'm showing you. I wrote down the ingredients, so it's for something and eventually I'll figure it out. I think I made it this past weekend. Other than that, it's been so crazy busy here that I haven't had a chance to do anything all week long! It really needs to slow down. I hope that you've had a blessed week and I do have my weekend cards ready for you tomorrow. Thank you for stopping by and may the Lord give you peace today – I know I need some. I'm really hoping to get a nap in the pool today. Today's Treasure: Psalm 98.

Well, I'm going to give it my best shot at entering the Gina K. Designs Design Team Blog Hop where the chosen winner will be their guest designer for August. My chances are slim as there's always a ton of participants, but I can try. I've really been into the retro stuff lately and thought that this card might do the job, hopefully. The Stamp TV video I used for my project was Paper Piecing. It's such a fun and easy way to dress up a card by adding pattern, texture, and dimension. Thanks for stopping by today and God bless.

Hi everybody. I had a great birthday thanks to all of you, but I'll tell you that there's nothing like waking up to bag that says "Zales" on your desk. I thought that I had it all, but apparently didn't have a pair of everyday diamond earring hoops to wear and now I do. Very nice. My kids baked me a chocolate cake and used one of those giant sized containers of vanilla icing on it, but not too much of it made it onto the cake. Then they found some icing pencils and drew a flower for me and wrote on the cake, and the little darlings purchased number candles that read 37. I turned 47. Good kids! I'm blessed and grateful for them. I'm blessed and grateful for you too.
I found this new challenge blog called Card Patterns Weekly Sketch Blog that had a cool layout and decided to try it. The challenge is posted on Saturday. I started this card yesterday but just now got the details together before I go and watch a stupid movie and eat ice cream. My attempt was to make the summery since there's daisies in the background, but the family says it's more fall. Here is my card and I hope that you enjoy it. Thank you for stopping by and looking.

I have been dying to use this new Gina K. Designs stamp set called Sew Pretty. I'm loving the retro/sewing craze right now, especially with October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket papers, which I'm practically using on everything. I'm also glad that out of all of the retiring Stampin' Up! colors, I kept Sage Shadow because it matches my October Afternoon Fly A Kite designer paper perfectly. I made this card for the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 281. It was a wonderful clean and simple sketch to work with without a lot of fuss.
I'm going to continue my Today's Treasure Bible readings on this blog and Today's Treasure is Numbers 34, which depicts the true land boundaries of Israel. I pray you have a very blessed day in our Lord.
Good morning! This week has been a bit of a disaster at my house. I'm having new carpet installed and I had no idea of the mess that it makes…everywhere. There's the obvious furniture all over the place, as I'm sitting here typing this at the dining room table, but the dust and carpet fragments and….., it's not going to be fun to clean up. This was supposed to be a one day job and we are now on day three. Needless to say, this has definitely put a damper on my creative fun. Fortunately, I found this new clean and simple challenge blog called CAS-tastic Challenges. It's every Wednesday and this is their second week. Today's challenge is to make a clean and simple birthday card and since that's just about all that I'm capable of doing right now since my stuff is everywhere and I was going through crafting withdrawals, I forsook my shower to create this card. It filled the gap so that I could create and it fits the challenge. One thing I did learn while making this is not to have construction going on in your house while using white card stock! Thank you for looking and God bless your day. I'm hoping that I can get back to my usual schedule soon.
