Good afternoon. I woke up to a very nice surprise this morning! My card for last week's Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge 22 got me a Featured Designer spot for this week's Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge 23! I am blessed and that was really kind of the Design Team to pick my card to be showcased. I am playing this challenge again this week and here's the sketch, designed by Jennifer Meyer,  that was provided (which is very cool) and below the sketch is my card. Why don't you join in the fun this week? I know they'd love to have you! This card also qualifies for Splitcoast Stampers Free 4 All 20 (F4A20) challenge where you had to use something new that you had just taken out of the package, and I just opened these up to make this card. God bless and I pray that you have a wonderful day.

Good morning. Julia, who is the Ways to Use It challenge hostess at Splitcoast Stampers asked me to cover for her challenge today. Julia lives in Canada, and it's Canada Day there, which is like our 4th of July. I was only too happy to fill in for her so that she can enjoy her day. Since our 4th of July is only a few days away, of course we have to make something patriotic, but I'm putting a spin on it. Our challenge today is ways to make a 4th of July card or Canada Day card without using red or blue. Come up with something nontraditional and out of the box. Most of all, have fun. Please only use new creations when participating in this challenge. It's not a race to see who can get done first. We just want to get you crafting and inspiring each other. When uploading your card to the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery, please use keyword WT277. Here's my sample for you.

To make a long story as short as possible, my cousin, who I love very much and we're 14 months apart, is in the Intensive Care Unit at Dallas Memorial. He's had multiple strokes, a heart infection that traveled to his brain, and is on a respirator. Please pray for him. That was the last phone call  I was expecting yesterday when I was just goofing off with him 3 weeks ago in Pittsburg, Kansas, listening to him tell his outrageous stores, laughing to the point of crying. And now this. I'm lying low this week because it's been an emotional roller coaster for me. Her's the card that I'm sending to him that's perfect as he's a ball player. I hand-stitched the baseball myself and on the inside I wrote," Dear Bub, I'm praying for you to pull through this. Don't you make me drive 10 hours to see your butt cuz I can in that green dress they got you in with no underwear on. You have a lot more stories to tell. I love you, Cindy. Thank you for your prayers. We know how big God is. I am praying that Bub will be healed by His stripes.

Oh thank God it's Friday…not that it makes a difference in my work schedule, but it sounded good. Today I made a fairly clean and simple card. While there's layers on it, there is not an over abundance of embellishments, such as ribbon, brads, etc. I had used a stamp that was collecting dust for my background and glitter for my sprinkles, which I never use, and that was my only bling. I love the muted colors I used on this card too and also used some paper that was collecting dust. I am also making another run through my craft room and eBaying. I've got another round coming up this weekend. I'm very good about if I don't use it for 6 months, it goes up for auction. I'm the same way with my closet too. I'd best hurry up and type this so I can go to the pool, float around on my Molly Brown, and sleep.

Some good news that I'd like to share with you is that the Summer 2010 Edition of Christian Paper Crafts is up! I put this together in My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up! It's totally primitive in that my formatting is inconsistent when it comes to how the supplies and instructions are listed. I just ran out of time. I tried to convert it to PDF, which was a nightmare, but then by the grace of God, it all came together. Our Fall Edition will be perfect!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting me today. God bless your weekend.

Quick card before I head off to the gym and yes, another Father's Day card that I made for today's CAS-tastic Wednesday Challenge 8 and Splitcoast Stamper's Sketch Challenge 285. This is a very clean and simple card that only took a few minutes to make. FYI: Hambly Screenprints designer paper does not hold ink or else I would have stamped another sentiment line on the bottom leading up to the lower case 'd' on my card. I hope you enjoy this and thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit me today!

Good afternoon and a happy Saturday to you! My mouth is healing very nicely and I thank you so much for your prayers. I'll be asking for them again in a few weeks when I have the same surgery on the right side.

I will be drawing names for the various prize giveaways I have here, at Christian Paper Crafts, and at Stampin' Up! With Cindy, as I do have to go through the entrants to make sure that the instructions were followed, and that is going to take a little bit of time with three giveaways all ending on the same date.

In the meantime, I wanted to share this card with you that covers six challenges! I think my record was 7 challenges in one card, but I've seen others cover 12 challenges with one card, which never ceases to amaze me. This is a card that should have been made last week as it is very patriotic, but I'm using it to reflect that somebody is a star in the Lord's eyes and how he will strengthen you. I will link the challenges to you below.

I hope and pray that you have a very blessed day. Today's Treasure: Ecclesiastes 12:9-14. Guard your ears against false prophets.
